I feel more confident now we have been charged, Nick De Marco wouldn't have wanted to be hired if we didn’t have a really strong case, he wouldn’t want to put his reputation on the line when he very rarely loses a case. So I think the case we put forward wins. And any punishment if anything is minor

I remember he won that case but the EFL appealed and got what they wanted. Not that I care.

I believe he did win and I was being deliberately awkward, it doesn’t have any bearing on Forest case. Just I think he tarts himself around pretty well every club in trouble.
I think he also got QPR out of a points deduction when they were practically a puppy sitting next to a big pile of poo.

Yep he’s got a very good reputation so I think we come out with a fine like most of them clubs.

Just been thinking about a points deduction and how this could possibly be finalised after the season's end. Could it work in our favour? I mean, if an appeal tribunal has some sympathy with our position but feel obliged to find us guilty because of a technical breach, will it be likely they'll be more lenient on the points if they know it's their decison soley that will relegate us?

There was a big reason why Forest expect a 'Fair and Speedy Resolution'. With the Best Lawyer I really don't see us get a points deduction.

I like the approach of just accepting it and not kicking up a fuss like Everton. I think if we can show a clear difference between our approaches, it'll help our case.

Yes, we could become the poster boys for "accept it, dont argue, take the punishment and move on"..........
Which means they should be quite lenient on us......and anyone else in future who simply accepts it and takes it. And Everton will be the ones to look at if you fight the charges and say porky pies.

What I mean is its the end of the season and the table is finalised. if we're say 5 points above relegation and the panel need to impose a deduction, will they give us 6 points knowing that they're definitely relegating us? Or would they ne minded to give us 4 points and say 'we've done our job' knowing that the transgression probably wasnt worthy of being relegated for.

To me this idea doesnt make sense Pap. From the PL's perspective, what would be the point in giving us a point deduction of say the 4 points you mention, knowing by doing so would prevent them from relegating us? Apart from the difference in the final league position payments, there would be no penalty for any breach of rules as such. And if that is the case that it will only impact us financially, why bother with a points deduction and just raise the amount of any fine imposed on us instead?

Yes but we have only accepted the charge we haven't accepted any possible punishment.
I don't think we will just roll over and accept a points deduction if it comes to that, on the contrary.
