Best of luck to him. Hope he can get a few games under his belt over the rest of the season, get a full pre-season in and maybe show the club what they bought next season.

Reading the wonderfully insightful BBC lowdown on AFCON. Every article they have is wall to wall can Salah lift the trophy for Egypt even though anyone who knows anything recognises they are outsiders.

Ola Aina played 83 minutes in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea.

Yesterday Ibrahim Sangare played 91 minutes in Ivory Coast’s 2-0 win against Guinea-Bissau and was impressive by all accounts. Serge Aurier came on at half time and Wily Boly came on after 77 minutes.

Ivory Coast looked good, Egypt really struggled against a very weak Mozambique while Nigeria huffed and puffed but didn't know where the goal was, they would be a whole lot better with Taiwo.

Sangare was in good form but id have to say, they all were. Aurier came on late as a sub and Boly after him.
