The change of bench has certainly revitalized some of our players who have made the difference in the last two games and seem to be players who are distant relatives of those seen a month ago, Nuno will certainly be able to get the best out of each of them to shape a team that will certainly bring further satisfaction , our championship has started and will see us as protagonists, yesterday I was in front of the TV watching the live broadcast and I saw players playing as a real team, and we also glimpsed the work on ball possession which is important in the autonomy of a match and the last action of the goal was a very pleasant proof of this....the best way to end this year, I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy new year.

Our South American contingent is going to grow possibly as early as next week.

Looking forward our South American contingent are potentially pulling us clear of danger. Half term report:
Montiel: Presumably stepped off plane to make debut and was shocking on debut. Now in team and looks as good a RB as we've had since Brian Laws, this guy can defend, attack and covers our error prone CBs.
Domingez: Opposite of Montiel, started like a house on fire then dipped. Return to form last night. He has a bit of everything, he's like a slower version of Steve Hodge, but with more of an edge. Gives us balance wherever he plays across midfield.
Murillo: This boy has talent and potential in bucket loads. He looks like a unit and with experience will use that to be less "beatable" defensively. Left foot is like my trusty 7 iron just pings the ball where it needs to be. Next season He will possibly have a dip as young players do or he might be Jonnoesque and just have an upward trajectory until we cash in. His dribbling still scares me, but I can live with it.
Danilo: Wasn’t really trusted to play his real position until recently. Did well last season and has been hampered by a nasty injury. However, last couple of games I can see why he was touted as the next big thing from a holding midfield perspective. He is only going to get better too.
Felipe: Owes Nottingham Forest nothing, it is no exaggeration to say he was the single biggest reason we stayed up. Rolls Royce of a player with incredible pace, especially when you consider his age. If this injury is it for him then its a huge shame. Probably our best centre back since Colin Cooper. If we can find another like him then Murillo will thrive. Only half a season, but what a half season he gave us.
Scarpa: Never got a real chance, but for once clubs made a profit.
Overall a pretty good success rate, some settled in straight away, some took time and one made us a few quid. Last season we had IMHO our best left back since Stuart Pearce too. These South American lads can certainly play a bit....

Can't get my head around why Steve wasn't playing this lad.
Danilo also improving and Dominguez excellent.
Montiel was indeed excellent yesterday although I do think he gets caught out of position on occasion. He wasn’t playing for a combination of reasons. He was genuinely terrible in his first game and he was injured for nearly 2 months had something to do with it. Then you have Aurier in the same position who was arguably player of the season last year and was captain for a few games a while back. Plus Williams is finally starting to look like a Premier League player.
Pleased he is here because he has the potential to be better than anyone in that position. Suspect Serge leaves and we have genuine competition between Montiel and Williams at right back.
Danilo was far more composed and disciplined yesterday, very very good game. Dominguez thought was in and out of the game, struggled to make an impact on the left first half but again he has the quality to be effective anywhere in midfield.

Good news this with Boly and Niakhate away at AFCON get him in for Blackpool too easy game to settle in .
Hope we keep looking to the SA market for young talent.
Wish we would look at the young LB from Boca linked with Brighton Barco
Will Carvalho be in for Blackpool too ?
If Arsenal are after Toney on todays loss will Leonardo be back on our radar ?

I thought Dominguez was excellent in the inverted winger role popped up in midfield and stopped man u playing , definite ploy by Nuno .

Bloody hell, in all the excitement of the past couple weeks, I'd forgotten the transfer window opens tomorrow.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but just noticed, Danilo has been called up for Brazil U23s who play an Olympic prequalifiying tournament from 20/1 until 11/2.
Therefore he potentially misses 4 games vs Brentford Arsenal Bournemouth and Newcastle plus should we get to cup 4th round.
Not exactly what we need. Could be worse, Murillo doesn’t seem to be on their radar yet.

I’m pretty sure we haven’t allowed Danilo to go.
