Turner gives our defenders no confidence at all, When we played Vlachodimos in goal against Villa the defenders had confidence but after that I don’t actually know what happened

Vlad went on a run where nearly every shot on target went in. He wasn’t making any saves at all. He is slow getting down especially to his left.

The Jose sa that has made 2/3 excellent saves in this game. I know we're not used to seeing a goalkeeper make a save but that's his job.......

As did Turner yesterday. Also against Spurs it could quite easily have been 5 - 0 if he hadn't made some very good saves. I'm not saying he's the best keeper in the world but he ain't as bad as some of you are making out. I think Neuer would struggle behind this defence.

The defence as a whole is costing us goals every game, not just Matt Turner. It's unfair to pin it all on him. I imagine it's a nightmare for him to know where to position himself when the opposition has the freedom of the box & all the time in the world to pick their spot.

Folks will probably remember that Henderson used to boot the ball straight out of play 3 or 4 times every game.

Yes I do remember. I also remember that he was regularly beaten from outside the box & yet people were crying when we 'missed out' on him. I challenge anyone to watch the Man City 6-0 from last season & tell me that Matt Turner is any worse than Dean Henderson. When you leave a keeper as wide open as our defence frequently does what chance do they have? Like I said I don't think he's the world's best keeper but the criticism he's getting is unwarranted in my eyes & if we were to sort out our comedic defence he would prove it. He's certainly the better of the keepers we have at our disposal.

That said, if the club/manager deem it to be a problem area & decide to get some new in then who am I to argue

Chill guys it’s Christmas. My apologies to Sniffer too if you took my earlier comment the wrong way.

We leak goals at the back, that’s a given. However we have just appointed a manager who is famed for having a very tight defence and Im sure he is spending every waking hour looking at ways to sort it out.

Turner is worse than Henderson.
