I knew someone would pick up on the only negative on his record.

His very good achievements far out way his bad but lets focus on the one negative eh?

I think it’s ok to point out the negatives re his time at Spurs but if memory serves me correctly, he may have been one of only 2 to lose 5 of their first 10 games but they won the other 5! I think we’d all be happy with a 50% rate. I also think the issue with Spurs was expectation and them expecting to challenge at the time for the top spot. Totally different to us who are wanting to push on for top half.

Im not a great fan of the Mendes recruitment model but if that’s the route we are going down then may as well have a manager on board with it and who can cope with that level of change.

You raise a very good point here Sal.

Nuno is a much better fit for the off the field entourage that we now have.

He knows Cordon and he knows Mendes and there should be good joined up thinking there.

Steve didn't really fit into that.

Nuno, Cordon and Mendes is quiet exciting I have to say. I remember our fans lauding Wolves and being jealous of the quality of players that they were getting when Nuno and Mendes were involved. That could be us now.

You asked: "Can someone please explain to me how this is a downgrade on Steve?

Serious well thought out answers only please."

I used stats the same as you did and I don't think what I said was unfair either was it? If you can use stats to highlight positives why can't I use them to highlight negatives? The first thing I said was I'm not saying he won't be an upgrade, I'm just cautious that the job he had at Wolves was very different to the one he'll walk into here.

It's done.

Cooper is gone, Nuno will be the next manager.

Mendes is well & truely back in. EM must have forgiven him for pulling his pants down with Carvalho, Dias, etc.

Where has that come from?

I don't really want to say who but he is privy to what goes on at the club.

Swapping Cooper for Nuno is giving me horrible flashbacks of SOD-McLeish.
Cannot get excited about this.
Sacked by Easter is my prediction.

Lets have some of that ^^

This blokes win percentage in the PL is almost double that of Steve and most of it with a similar sized club who also came up from the Championship.

Wake up and smell the coffee.
