Can someone please explain to me how this is a downgrade on Steve?
Serious well thought out answers only please.

It's a good appointment Sniff, won the league with al-ittihad for the first time in 13 years too. But people will mock the Saudi League, but when a team has not won the league anywhere for that long it's a good achievement.
Our squad will only need tinkering for his preferred formations. He will definitely want a striker and winger in Jan.

Not saying he won't be an upgrade but if you're taking those stats into account then you've got to take these ones as well:
Arguably the two most important things he had at Wolves were momentum (which he won't have here) and Mendes pulling the strings (which remains to be seen). I'm sceptical and I think getting rid of Cooper now is too hasty although I accept it's looking like it's too late for that now.

Did he not create the momentum at Wolves in the first place though? As I have previously said he did get the better deal of mendes clients in comparison to the ones we got.
Let's hope that brings a positive change.
In regards to spurs I think he was always going to fail he was way down the list, they had chased so many managers that summer and got turned down by them all they were left with Nuno's name. It was never going to workout.

He did absolutely but he had a whole season in the Championship to do it and then carried it into the Prem. Here he's got to pick an already fairly bloated (yet still missing key positions) and struggling squad up and turn things around in a short space of time, feels like a very different job to the one he had at Wolves.

Remember the time at Spuds was in Covid with empty stadia. Not saying this was the reason, but it cannot be discounted being the only real blot on his record.

To come up from the championship and finish 7th is some achievement. He can clearly coach a team and do well in this league. His win percentage in the prem is incredible to be fair and where we are now we need something to change and quickly.
Wolves have very much been on a downward spiral since he left.
If we cannot get lopetegui then this guy is not a bad shout at all.
Cooper right now has 2 wins in 27 away games, an overall 18% win rate in the prem. I love Cooper and always will, he is like an ex that you will always but fond of but you have ended up in the friend zone with all the excitement a thing of the past. He will never have to buy a beer in any pub I'm in. He will always have my respect but the time has come.

No mate I can't confirm.
I am as surprised as anyone although I am personally pleasantly surprised.
I like Nuno and I remember when he was at Wolves he was being lauded by Forest fans. Some have short memories.

So he had a blip at Spurs so what. So did Antonio Conte.
I knew someone would pick up on the only negative on his record.
His very good achievements far out way his bad but lets focus on the one negative eh?

You may be surprised Sniffer but I would like him here too. Wolves played some great football under him, at least the first 2 seasons.
Im not a great fan of the Mendes recruitment model but if that’s the route we are going down then may as well have a manager on board with it and who can cope with that level of change.

It wasn’t a loan.
It was a fee + Freuler.
He signed a 5yr contract
