I don’t really understand how recent results have shown that
Cooper is the right man. Sentimentality won’t keep us up. Getting hammered 5-0 by Fulham and then following it up with a 1-1 draw at Wolves is hardly a complete turnaround. This is following a run of winnable games where we haven’t performed. I can’t really understand the logic in giving Cooper another game when the writing is already on the wall

This is always the million dollar question owners must ask themselves when contemplating a change. Will it work. For a lot of teams in the premier league over recent seasons, it hasn’t. Leeds sacked Bielsa. Most leeds fans will say that turned out to be a very bad decision. They tried another change which didn’t work. Leicesters change didn’t work but some would say they didn’t sack Rodger’s soon enough. EM needs to get it right and it isn’t obvious to me another manager is going to come along and get better results. Let’s build on Wolves performance. We were much better and probably the better side. If EM was confident he could get a new manager who would get better results than Cooper, he would have done it already. Be careful what you wish for.

I get that argument too, the manager has to have better credentials than the manager you have got employed currently, I think we can all agree that the managerial choices from both of those clubs were poor, however marsch did keep Leeds up in the season he was brought in. It was his second season when it faltered after a bright start. 

Leicesters appointment of Dean Smith was just bizarre. 

I think we will get a better calibre of manager than what both of Leeds and Leicester appointed.

Mendes and cordon are hunting managers. Julien the main choice. Fan support stopping cooper been sacked at present

Looking at the client list then Nuno Espirites Santos looks a firm candidate…

Slightly off topic but just because Mendes is onboard it doesn't mean that every player or manager we sign is going to be a Mendes client. We are not putting all our eggs in one basket. Of course Mendes has his own agency but he also works along side other agencies too.

Glasner isn't a mendes client. Mendes is just helping with talks

Was thinking the same, spurs up next. If that results in a hiding then does he go, does he get another game after that? Was the result against Wolves really that good, particularly if you look at the last 5 games has there been any sight of corners being turned? Over the last 10 games has the bad outweighed the good. 

Cooper certainly gets the club and the bigger picture but it's a results & performance based game..

Makes me laugh, because fans have gone from saying. Can't believe we got beat by pe teacher O'Neil's Bournemouth to, ooo I'll take a draw against O'Neil's wolves.. they were shit. We looked like a championship side. It was a shit game what ended in a draw

But whether or not that result will be enough to keep Cooper in his position long term remains to be seen. Glasner, 49, is out of work, having left Frankfurt in the summer. As a player he made more than 500 appearances for SV Ried in Austria, before taking over as manager there in 2014 for a year. After four years at LASK, also in Austria, he had two years with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. He joined Frankfurt in July 2021 and in his first season led the club to Europa League glory. His side defeated Barcelona and West Ham United along the way before lifting the trophy after beating Rangers on penalties in the final.
Glasner is one of a number of managers the club admire. Julen Lopetegui has been on their radar for a long time as has the Fulham manager Marco Silva. The hope would be, if they were to switch, that one of those admired candidates could get more out of this crop of players.
If Cooper is still in charge on Friday against Tottenham Hotspur he will have a decision to make. Does he stick with the system that was responsible for keeping Forest in the top flight and was effective at Molineux, or does he revert back to the 4-3-3 which has had mixed fortunes this season? It could be the decision that defines his future.

Talk of drifting and of he has to go etc. I don't really get what you guys are expecting a new manager to do? Unless they are also a surgeon and can add a new leg for Taiwo. He'll still have the same lack of attacking options and so far unimpressive players. You know what a new manager is likely to do? Keep it tight and look for 1-0s to try and get some points, ie how we played Saturday.

The idea that the fans would be responsible for the team going down is absolutely ridiculous though. Probably want to give some of the responsibility to those guys getting paid millions to play perhaps? Or the people that forgot to buy enough attackers. (Which obviously includes Cooper)

There's a video on twitter where he says he will be ready for Friday night, I'll try find it. His body language clearly suggests he knows other wise
