Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager

Spot on Gari.

Didn't PAOK do quite well in Europe as well?

Aitor himself had never managed a club before he got Middlesbrough promoted. Jokanovic and Wagner hadn't managed in England before getting their teams promoted. Jaap Stam took Reading to the playoffs, as did Carvalhal at Sheffield Wednesday. Bielsa and Farke are in the automatic promotion slots - they've never managed in England.

There's a lot of nonsense and snobbishness about 'knowing the league.'

Jardim still out of work?

These days the state of the club as a whole has as much to do with success on the pitch as having a talented manager does.

There's the odd exception but generally promoted clubs are well run clubs.

Aitor Karanka's future, or lack of it, at Nottingham Forest looks set to be confirmed today - they have been looking at candidates to replace him since Christmas.

I don’t want a manager here just because it weakens the opposition for Olympiakos.
I’m not being a football snob and perhaps my anger at another wasted season due to not sticking with a manager in with a shout of making the playoffs. It is unreal the parallels between AL and SOD.

But also facts speak for themselves.
AK has a promotion under his belt and his building up of our chances mirror what he did at boro so far.
The players we have received from olympiakos have been substandard going back to abdoun and djebbour.
That if marinakis thinks spending 25m will get us promoted in 18 months then he is no better than Fawaz.

Totally agree on the first point Ozzy and can totally understand the frustrations. Yes, the parallels with the SO'D situation are there to see and we all know how that turned out. Also for what it's worth I'd not want Damir Canadi either, regardless of how well he's doing currently his previous managerial record is mostly appalling.

Also agree on the progress made - we're seventh and but for late goals would be higher. I'm convinced there's more to this than just results - there's been some kind of falling out between Karanka and someone - whether it be players, board or both.

On another note, Jardim has turned down the Lyon job.....

I'd swap karanka for jardim every single day of the week and twice on a Sunday. If that was a guarantee I'd get on with it. And I actually like karanka a lot. But jardim is different gravy.
