Our squad for me has been built for a different system than 433. We started pre season with 3 at the back and a box midfield 5421. That is the make up of the squad too. If we really were planning for 433 then we needed at least 1 other winger. Steve needs a rethink but can see him going. He will end up at palace and he will be lauded there.

So we just stick with him blindly because he once got us promoted via the play offs?
Some of the greatest managers the game has ever seen have been sacked at some point even Brian Clough, Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, Thomas Tuchel, Marcelo Bielsa, Vicente Del Bosque, Fabio Capello, Louis Van Gaal, Claudio Ranieri, Zinedine Zidane and I could go on but I won't.

A disappointing European campaign and a drubbing by PAOK.

any other manager wont have the same connection with the fans, and you could see him going else where and doing the same job or even better, but who am i , lets see what happens this week and we get 6 points and we all move on

I think it's realistic at any football club operating in the Premier league as it stands, if you are in a position where you have only won 1 game in 10 you'll be under severe pressure, that's where we find ourselves currently.
Let's hope we get 2 big performances this week as I do not think you get away with 1 win in 12 in the prem and keep your job.

This ^^
I am sure Steve will go to his next club, say all the right things and connect with the fans, it's what managers do.
I support Steve 100% while he is our manager but once he leaves our club I won't have any interest in what he's doing.
For me points on the board and moving up the table is what is important not fan relationships.

And there would be a similar situation with a new manager for us....if they help us win a few games, then there will be a whole new connection with the fans! There aren't many fist pumps going on anymore......mainly because we aren't winning any games!!

Exactly. Will be sad to see Cooper go if/when he does but I’m sure whoever the new guy is will get the fans on side quite quickly if they help us get the results to progress up the table.

Not if he wins 1 game in 10 like we have.
