Yes, he was at Chelsea. Also had a spell at Newcastle and QPR when they were in the premier league.

Interesting that Nixon is saying 4 decent signings that will improve the first team.

Would probably have taken Remy 3 or 4 seasons back. Think he's very much on the decline now though, joined Lille in the summer and he's only bagged once so far.

Nixon's musings are promising, hopefully he knows what he's talking about, he's seemed a bit off the boil with Forest news for the past few years.

We'll see how serious that intent is this January.  But it is what is required.

I hope I am wrong but are the owners now trying to force Karankas hand?

They saw the reaction of the fans when they were thinking to pull the trigger so now they are trying to force him out with yet another unncessary (in my opinion) appointment behind the scences?

Hope I am wrong but that is my take on it.

Nixon said that he had lined up three players to come in with Jokanovic.

I can confirm that Jose Anigo is NOT our Sporting Director.

He does not work for Nottingham Forest.

I wish we'd get an upstairs setup in place and just stick with it. Been way too fluid lately.

Because he's taking over from another certain dreadlocked Sporting Director who is on to pastures Trentside...?

Agree. I think it's been well intentioned, & the mistakes have come from naivety, but it needs sorting, that said, word on the street (I'm so Huggy bear) is that this has not gone unnoticed & that errors have been acknowledged, which is a good thing, although it might lead to changes again...

All fair enough really, except while all this tinkering's been going on it might have been better to have had a MW style manager in, with fairly low targets & just tasked with the basics & bringing a few players through. Might not have been spectacular, but it would have given us stability & then when we'd got everything in place, then we could have thrown the cash at it, & gone for the push.

I guess there's no patience left in football.

Nail gunned on.
