So if we are fourth bottom OZ does that make everything okay?

We need to be looking up not happy to be fourth bottom because that would mean we are not in the relegation zone.

Depends, could be 10 points clear of bottom four..in that case I'd still be saying yes at this moment in time.

I can guarantee that fourth bottom will get Steve sacked 100%.

So we shouldn't be happy with it.

You are missing the point a bit in my opinion Sniffer.

If we finish 4th bottom at the end of the season Cooper goes 100% and yes he would deserve to go. Indeed come April should we near the bottom it would be reasonable to get a mutual agreement that he leaves end of the season. Steve leaves with his head high, fan base placated, EM reputation enhanced further as he has taken dignified action. Opportunity to build again at the correct time with a new manager in pre-season.

Sack him now what does that achieve? We wont go down this season whoever is in charge. We wont qualify for Europe whoever is in charge. We are simply debating where in that pecking order from 10th to 17th we finish. I don’t understand why we wouldn’t give Steve the opportunity to build a side like he did last season and improve the football on offer. Get rid and we will never know what he could have achieved here.

I don’t want to be looking back in a few years time watching Cooper fist pumping to some other fans as his team play in the Europa League and we are left wandering why we are on another round of manager churn.

Sounds like percy is giving the media vote of confidence, coops has to win Saturday or is vunrable. And sounds like evangelos wants to win the next 3 games

Article says evangelos wants a top 10 finish this season. For those saying you would be happy with 17th. You beat raise your ambitions or your not going to be happy

As per the post above literally nobody has said we should be happy with 17th at the end of the season.
Just saying give the bloke a chance until then. That’s not unreasonable.

The article says EM is demanding an immediate improvement and targeting a top 10 finish.
As Sniffer has frequently said, there is nothing wrong with targeting a top 10 finish, we do need to aim higher. Its just if that is the minimum expectation we have a problem . As for demanding an immediate improvement, again depends what the big guy means by that. We have dropped points, made mistakes and a few poor performances in there so fair enough. But we remain a work in progress as well as dealing with the equal most injuries in the league so there are mitigating factors.

Cooper has had the dreaded vote of confidence.

Down to the players to save him. He's gone otherwise

Thing is do some of these newer players care as much?

Top 10 is very ambitious and not very likely for a team 2 seasons back after 23 years out

EM needs to get real

Brentford. Finished 13th and then 9th last season.

So it’s not impossible and they have spent no where near as much as Forest and had been out of the premier league far more than 23 years!

They also build steadily and had a good side that was theirs through development over a long period of time. I get that cooper has been given more £££ but how are Chelsea doing with a similar churn from a higher position with twice as much money? 3 points better!

I still think the players have become lazy under him.

If he is complaining they are not doing what he tells them to do on the pitch then he is admitting they are becoming lazy.

In all types of business you can be too much the nice guy.............. Our most successful manager was someone who nobody would be lazy under, same with Manure....their best manager was someone who roasted anyone under performing.

Is Steve just too much the nice guy ?
