Heard a whisper that Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui is expected to reach an agreement with the management of Al Ittihad very soon.

Turns out they have chosen ex only manager victor perieria instead

Oh. Salvatore will be fuming then!

To right.

Understand Julen Lopetegui is now oriented to reject Al Ittihad proposal to become the new manager and replace Nuno Espirito Santo.

Former Sevilla and Wolves coach set to turn down the proposal — told his focus is on Premier League., fabrizio

I wonder how much Lopetegui can be lined up just in case. Does he have an especially good relationship with EM? Strange that he’d turn down a guaranteed job

Spanish as reporting he could have a premiership job in the coming weeks. Wonder if he's got wind of somewhere. Maybe Bournemouth?

Come on Bournemouth, Fulham, Burnley, Palace even ManUtd..what's keeping you, get to sacking your manager pronto!

You will be setting rumours off with a post like that, people will think he's gone.

It's mad that there have been no sackings this season so far.
Least season 5 managers had been sacked by Mid-November, and Potter had moved clubs.
Parker, Tuchel, Lage, Gerrard, Hasenhuttl

There are surprisingly few PL managers who are unpopular. Most are achieving pretty much as expected, even Sheff Utd and Luton doubt anyone could do much better. Kompany is probably most at risk, similar situation to Cooper last season.

I was having the same conversation with a mate over a pint after the game on Sunday. Really has been bizarre.

If you look at the teams that went down last year sacking their managers didn't work. You could argue Southampton and Leicester ended up worse off and Leeds didn't improve. There's no way it will last but it's still tight. There were also times when teams that could have gone down easily stuck, like Cooper and O'Neil and it paid off.
