That isn't true though, not at home, we have only played 4 home games though and 5/6 tough away games so it's difficult to see. Style has been fine, execution less good due to having average/injured attackers.

However, I hope that the coaching staff are going to keep encouraging him to bring the ball out from defence because it is something that should be applauded and it's a great asset for any team to have a CB who is capable of doing that.

Yes agreed. Wasn’t having a pop, just felt some were saying he would be our biggest ever sale on the back of one mazy run vs Palace rather than even considering whether he can actually do his day job which is to defend.

That said thought he coped reasonably well yesterday in what was without doubt his biggest test to date defensively. Thing is though the first goal wasn't his only mistake, he gave the ball away quite a few times. I can only imagine the response on here if a certain other centre back was to do the same.

However I do agree with your final point, Forest were very clear this summer that they wanted a centre back who could bring a ball out of defence. Well we have got one and he does need to be encouraged, just accept that may cost us some goals. I just hope those goals don’t cost our manager his job.

Agree  but once he beat the first or second man, he'd done enough. Comes with experience. That said all of the back 3 gave the ball away time after time. The reaction when taken off by Boly, stood there with hands on hips looking in disbelief was comical. He'd just given the ball away ridiculously cheaply twice. Cloughie would've hooked him after the first one.

Not the best place for all 3 CBs to have in truth real shockers after a solid start! Not to mention 3rd goal and GK...

What I will add, is manager can't legislate for those levels of f@(k ups.

Still think a fit Felipe and Boly would be the ideal partnership for 10 games or so...we can dream.

Again on Murillo this is insane for a centre back especially considering the opposition , 2nd most dribbles in the league. Just so happens its also part of his downfall. Ultimately he is a talent and Im delighted to have him, just sometimes needs to remember he is a centre back too.

That is an absolutely mental statistic. Two sides to it obviously- 1. Its going to help us be more attacking and entertaining.   2. Opposition forwards will be instructed to close him down every time and expect him to take them on and try to beat them on the inside. If it happens 5 times in every game he will be dispossessed at least once or twice, which could cost us. Equally, if he draws a man or two but then lays it off it creates space elsewhere.

Ultimately, it's about experience and knowing when to do it and when you've done enough. At scouseville though he should've released after beating the first or second man. That 1st goal killed us although we barely got in there half, they weren't hurting us (Murillo falling over aside) and the longer it stays 0-0..etc...we move on.
