Injuries And Suspensions
Just adding competition will be a good thing, he won’t want to warm the bench, not saying yates does either. Can only help keep the starting 3 on their toes

Danilo to replace Sangare?!

It might be the kick up the arse Sangare needs to get his head into the right place.

Cooper will be reluctant to drop our record signing though and I doubt EM will be too chuffed if that happens as it will be a sign Cooper could basically have flushed £30M down the crapper

Off the bench to begin with

I very much doubt he'll be involved at all at Liverpool but hope I am wrong because we have really missed him.

I feel our best team this year is weaker on 4 fronts
Felipe Lodi Navas and Johnson
But stronger on 2 sangre and Dominguez
So overall we have a weaker first 11 than last season in my opinion but a stronger overall squad
Come on you mighty Reds

Yes but both Felipe and Navas came late in the season, they didn't play for us until February and Lodi was shit in most peoples eyes until after the new year.

That was when we played better though so not sure what you're saying?

What I am saying is that our squad is much stronger this season than last season.

We are not going to go the whole season playing the same 11 players every week, it's a squad game not the same 11 players every week game.

Anyone who cannot see that our squad is stronger this season needs to get down to specsavers asap.

I'm not disagreeing the squad is better than last year. However, only 11 can start and 16 get on the field max. So until the matches come a bit faster I don't really feel like we're reaping the rewards of that improved squad.

Also due to the injuries, we have Toffolo and Wood playing and Neco, Worrall etc coming off the bench and no attackers on the bench. Not exactly seeing the benefits of this improved squad so far are we.

It feels like we'll only really start to see the benefits when the midweek games start and when we get a few key players back.

It's a long long season the benefits will be seen later.

I agree completely and I'm still confident we will see those benefits. However, in the last few games and probably the next few weeks at least we're weaker than we'd like to be. Hopefully we can still get some positive results. At least this run of playing top 6 sides away is nearly over.

The 11 on the field at the end of Saturday’s game was as follows
Turner
Aina Worrall Murillo Toffolo
Yates Kouyate Mangala Wiilliams
Gibbs-White Wood

Whilst our 25 man squad may indeed look stronger than last season you cannot persuade me that the above 11 is better than we had available last season, Reckon most would agree it is significantly weaker than the team that finished the season. I doubt more than 3 of the above would get in what most regard as the strongest team we can put out.
