But yes you have a fair point Sniffer, we have waited a long time to see some quality, if you had suggested to me 2 years ago today what our squad would be like now I would have laughed at you.
I think the majority laughed at me when I said EM will take us back to the promise land, keep us there and spend really really big to get us established and try to get us back into Europe.
Back to our South Americans, I think we have missed Danilo and we would have won had he played yesterday at Palace.

We have had quality for our position. This kid looks like he has that elite talent. We are getting quite a crop now. MGW, Danilo, Murillo look like they COULD develop to elite level (champions league) - elanga and CHO have growth. Tiawo looks to have injury issues that could stunt his growth and he is older but not many of his type around. Just a bit gutted that jonno went as he could have been so much better with this group and he did pretty well last year.
Hope we are scouting an up and coming centre forward to come in Jan.

A Brazilian CF could well be on the way in January.

11 million for Murillo is dirt cheap.
No doubt a hefty sell on %.

Only played 10 games in Brazil. You could say we've made a massive gamble.

Sniffer and the Brazilian CF you mention (possibly in Jan) I thought we had an agreement in place already for a young guy?

As for the others, Dominguez is my new favourite player, he is the footballer I thought we had bought with Freuler last season. Good to see Montiel looking decent too.
Where are those that were spouting he should never be seen in a Forest shirt again after the Burnley match?

But so far he has faced a relatively toothless Burnley and depleted Palace side. How about we see if he can cut it defensively when we face a proper test, Liverpool away on the 29th will be one.
If we can keep a clean sheet there I will start to believe he can be the real deal, just prefer to stay a bit grounded until I see some proper evidence.
Agreed SM however we are allowed to get a little excited aren't we? When was the last time a centre back did what Murillo did yesterday when we went on that run and almost scored and also some of those balls he was pinging around the field was a joy to watch.
Sorry for getting excited but I have been watching Danny Cullip, Matt Mills, Molla Wague, Michael Heffele and Damian Perques these last few years.
That run yesterday was a little bit reminiscence to the Archie Gemmill goal for Scotland against Holland in the world cup in '78, except obviously, Archie scored.

For how well it all looked, he really should have scored with his first shot. He scores if he puts it anywhere else but where he did!

Didn’t need to blast it but was his wrong foot! He has been very impressive though…

He is a defender so we can allow him to try to score by blasting it I suppose.
What a memorable goal it could have been had he just kept his composure right at the end when facing the goal. Such a shame.

Probably should have just kept running straight through Johnstone!
