I agree SR but if the choice is to take a principled stand or buy a new midfielder (who probably won’t give a shit themselves and won’t be here in 2 years time either) then I know which choice the majority of our fans would take.

So what if its a gambling company. Last time I looked gambling is still legal and all adults are free to do what they want with their money. Personally I don't gamble and have no interest in it so seeing it advertised on the front of a shirt it isn't going to change my mind. Just hope we got a good payment on it

Also how Sky Sports and BT sports etc are full of betting adverts, how many people subscribe to those?

There is definitely a lot of hypocrisy from some people on this point especially considering you cannot even use this company’s products from the UK.
There is also a touch of hypocrisy from Forest about preferring to work with charities when they were really holding out for a higher offer from a sponsor.

There's also a fair bit of 'I don't care about it so why should anyone else?' which totally disregards the opinions of people (or the family/friends of) battling with gambling addiction.

People are addicted to all types of things SR, lets start with Smartphones and Social Media, what about Alcohol? Should we close all the pubs?

Some are also addicted to sex, do you want to have them castrated?

At what point does all this stop at?

Don't see the issue with betting companies being front of shirt sponsors (unless it is genuinely linked with criminal organisations).. also wasn't fussed when beers where main sponsors. Some of the most iconic shirts of the 90s had beers on them (labatts, Coors, newcy brown etc..)

- Us and Palace have been warned by the Gambling Commission about our relationship with Kaiyun as they're unlicensed to operate in the UK
- We've been in contact with Gambling Commission and think we're OK because Kaiyun *don't* operate in the UK
- If they ever did then we could face legal action

It also explains we were warned not to wear the sponsor logo in Spain because of the gambling sponsorship ban there. But Sunderland were allowed to wear their own gambling-sponsored shirts.

I'll be glad when this sponsorship ends to be honest.
