Dunno but when we trot out of the tunnel at The Emirates we might well have it on our shirts.

And that's great from a humanitarian point of view.

It doesn't say much for our commercial department though - which is perhaps why Tyson Henly went.

If the only offer is a betting company then I agree prefer to wait. But was widely reported BoxT offered around £5m last year.

If EM wants to stick with a charity it is laudable but as has been written above you cant then go and fleece your own fans on ticket prices. If that is the decision that we are making a moral stand then the club needs to announce it and the reasons why.

I'm not sure you can call waiting a year to agree a sponsor being in a rush!

'Still in consultation with several parties' according to Randall on the latest Supporters' Trust Q&A session.

Was that recently or is that the one that was close before (a couple of months ago) but then didn't happen.

Randall seems like a nice bloke but honestly outside of politics I struggle to think of someone who comes out with more hot air despite not actually saying anything at all.

Back at the start of July. They wanted multi season, Forest didn't according to the guy that told me. Since Mr Randall has said that we are in talks with several parties, I'm guessing it's not going ahead. I'm not sure why people are so worried. When it's a charity, can't you write off a large chunk of tax?

Not sure how accurate this is but if true explains a lot re sponsorship......>>

EPL shirt sponsorship under FFP there is an allowance of say £10m - if you get a sponsor in for say £5m then the overall FFP allowance will be reduced by the difference which is £5m. #nffc prefer the £10m FFP allowance, than a smaller amount & are happy to work with charities

Yes.......it depends if you want the cash, or you want the FFP allowance.

For us, our owner has loads of cash, and as nobody is offering over 10m, then he takes the FFP allowance of 10m instead. For us to have a shirt sponsor they have to be willing to pay over 10m to make it worth the club/owners while.

So then if the above is true and no reason to doubt it, a few questions:
1. Seeing as many clubs are hitting FFP limits despite having rich owners, why aren’t other clubs doing the same and forgoing shirt sponsorship?
2. How come we still have sleeve sponsorship from Ineos? Surely its the same principle?
3. Why not announce a charity partner then?

1 Chelsea haven't got one and other clubs likely locked into multiple year deals. I read clubs are still milking the gambling companies until they're banned next year. Going to be loads of competition then.
2 Separate pot I presume?
3 Hopefully implies they're still hopeful of landing a sponsor for above 10m?

Any more news on this from anyone? Seen a couple of tweets saying it's been sorted now but was wondering if anyone here (who I'd trust more!) has heard anything?
