Writing this before reading any comments having attended the game, watched it back snd watched MOTD, still in disbelief:-

Positives
- Progress shown since visiting here last season twice.
- Goal threat was evident throughout  always looked like we could score.
- workrate was off charts. MGW was everywhere (more of him later).
- Turner made as good a save as you will see.
- That start! 2 breaks, 2 goals. 1st break was mostly all Taiwos work (that MGW header counts as an assist apparently). The 2nd break for Jonno to win freekick had them all over the place.
- Deserved a point at a place we got mullered at last season.

Negatives
- 2 up 85 minutes to go and we came home with nothing.
- The officials, it wasn't just the big decisions it was a number of little ones that kept the game in their favour, seeing it twice made it even more galling, especially the sending off and pen.
- OK the controversial bit: MGW is a talent  he's been credited with 2 assists and thats great....but...on 3 other occasions his final ball was poorly executed. We could/should have gone 3-1 up. Aside from pace  he has everything to be a top operator- his ability to see a pass is unquestionable  but he has to execute more often. It feels harsh, because he is so hard working too. But he definitely should have had an "assist hatrick".
- I'm getting increasingly worried about Turners inability to dominate his area or sweep up. The Worrall red card would be a non debate if Turner comes out and clears it..

Overall I thought a really promising effort, two tough away games done and although no points gained we have been in both games right up until the final whistle.

Just read through comments. Fairly predictable from many. But the group that confuses me the most us those saying we should have "kept playing" instead of hitting them on break.

We literally scored both our goals from breaks - 2nd was a freekick gained by Jonno...on the break.

I grew up in an era of expecting to win at Old Trafford myself  but those saying "a poor ManU team, there for taking" etc...are deluded. They brought on a £60 million sub, they are consistently top 6, just because they aren't on a level with Ferguson sides, they are hardly poor. The only player who walks into their side from us is Taiwo at moment.

Views on Turner make interesting reading and it's too early to judge for sure, but we look very susceptible at set pieces and he is very hesitant coming off his line. But he made some good saves and one great save.

The best keeer in the ground was sat on United bench, that much I do know.

Anyone can see we are making progress yet moan about same players. We give ball away far too much at present no doubt, but biggest culprits currently are Danilo and MGW who we all know will come good again sooner rather than later. Better final ball from MGW and we go 3-1 up just before and/or just after HT (4-1 if we're super clinical).Replacing Worrall, Mckenna Yates Jonno or whoever is scapegoat of the week doesn't change this one bit.

Good analysis zico. There was also the chance in the 2nd half where Danilo had won the ball and saw that Awoniyi had caught the Manure defence square. Danilo's pass was 20-25 yards but he just didn't hit it hard enough or Taiwo would have been in again. Danilo's passing has not been great thus far but he'll come good.

Anyone just watch the MOTD highlights. Not sure why I wasted my time. They didn't show any of our chances until right at the end of the "analysis" in a segment about Utd being bad at defending. They only talked about Utd and barely discussed the decisions, didn't even show the Wood one at the end.

I'm sure everyone tuning in was desperate to hear about what they thought of Man Utd though. The Prem really is a boys club isn't it.

Casimero came back from an offside position to score their goal although Bruno played it backward to him on the final ball but if he wasn't in the offside position to begin with then he would not have been in position to receive that final ball. it was also clear that Worrall did foul Bruno by pulling at his shorts but Boly was coming in behind to cover and Yates was pointing this out to the ref but the Positive bias prevailed.
Rashford....cheat... but if it had been us we would be shouting for a penalty.

I'm glad it's not just me that thought he was offside! I was beginning to question my knowledge of the offside rule, as nobody else had mentioned it, so thank you for saving my sanity!!!

Mee too Tricky but I decided i mustn't know the rules properly when VAR saw nothing wrong with it. So you can be in an offside position on the first pass and still not be offside. Or is that just the Old Trafford interpretation of the rules?

Sadly this is now the rules I believe. It doesn't make sense that they're not interfering though.

We didn’t ge5 luck with 50-50 decisions. I just hope next time one of our players goes down in the box with similar touch - or forward gets manhandled when last man then we get the same. I just doubt we will….

Yes he was behind the final ball, but when the ball came into Bruno he was offside.
