We had a go against Arsenal and didn't get slaughtered, would have been nice to have a go today with 11 players and see where we were. Look at the difference the team is when we do have a go but still look ok at the back. There maybe Joe and Scott downers on here but they are not far wrong are they.

Because we looked far more comfortable in possession and going forwards than we did trying to low block all the time. It was inevitable by giving them unto 90% possession at one point that we were going to concede.Trying to shut up shop whilst we are in front it isn't working. The top clubs when they are leading try and score more they just don't sit back and think jobs done, look At Liverpool tanking Bournmouth 9-0 last season and Leicester putting 9 past Southampton... when we were down to 10 players we didn't concede from open play did we? No we looked more like scoring than anything else. But if you are happy with anti football so be it.

Utd literally just sat back when they were winning against 10 men.

We looked a threat every time we went forward on the break, we should've scored a few times and were robbed by some rubbish decisions.

It's a difficult one to take due to circumstances of the sending off and penalty but I reckon that without them we would probably have lost.

I think going up by two goals so early was always going to have its downsides. 87 minutes plus endless stoppage time meant Man utd had plenty of time while our lads probably could not quite believe it and a lack of experience and know how for that position probably showed. Ultimately I always find 2-0 leads uncomfortable as the opposition is likely to have a go and unless a third is scored or you get to half timewithout conceding then it was going to test us.

Overall, if people cannot see progress from last season then they've forgotten last season. In the four games we played against them, we didn't lay a glove on them. Today, we gave them a shock and with a bit of luck and a bit more experience in the middle on game management then we could have got something.

And well done Taiwo - 7 games on the bounce at this level deserves huge credit

tiawo is the best CF after Haaland in the PL when we can pick a first choice back 4 from Monteil Filipe Murillo Niakhate ania and possibly Acuna a 6 hopefully Sangara/Fofana 2 8’s out of mangala yates danilo and santos our front 3 is electric MGW elanga Brennan Tiawo with possibly CHO and wood is proving he gas something to offer there are lots of positives from today

Aina I thought was excellent today, same with Serge.

Brennan had a good game, not always looked great in that position in this system but I thought he had his best game so far this year. MGW got two assists and yet was frustratingly wasteful, that chance in the second half was so big. Obviously not his fault Taiwo didn't duck in the first half otherwise we'd have been 3-1 up.

Think the system was really effective today, I know it looks a bit uncomfortable conceding so much possession but we created a number of big chances. Utd had plenty of half chances but outside of the goals I can only remember one really good chance that Bruno missed?

It's frustrating we have all these tough away games early as wif we'd played like this against some weaker sides we could've got off to a strong start. Pressure will be on vs Burnley, hopefully we can win that and then the season starts properly after we've lost at City

Agreed, not many strikers score in 7 consecutive games. Then you add in his physical attributes, shame he can't duck quicker though.

Don’t rate Turner I’m afraid, seen enough of him now to know that he’s not a top half keeper.

How is it we actually played a bit of football when we were losing. It's a mentality or it's tactics.

Ive always said we can play qhen we want to. We're just not allowed to. Id really like to just see one game where we have a bit of a go for the whole 90.

Whilst I get what you are saying Pap and respect far too much to have a go, if we had gone kamikaze and ended up being dicked 6-2 wouldn’t you be calling for Cooper’s head?

Not saying we go kamikaze, just play a little bit more open, instead of 11 behind the ball until the 80th minute. Maybe half way between what we did today and how we were at the beginning of last season.

I agree, we look so much more composed than last season. Thats why i think we can be a little more progressive now.
