The performance again CONFIRMS we are weak in the middle when we play Johnson, which is why we looked far better end of last season using him as an impact sub.

Thought the atmosphere was a little subdued last night especially in the second half.

Trent end looks strange without the glass but better for those who use the lounge.

It looked like Johnson was struggling a little, last night.

Maybe he hasn't quite got over his injury yet and has been put back into the side too soon.

I thought Aurier was our MOM. He played into so much space time and time again and did some excellent runs down the right wing.

Also felt that our game improved massively after Ryan yates came on. To think just a couple of years ago he was many Forest fans pet hate and could do no right!!!

Another good performance from Turner also. I felt his distribution was very good. Do we really need to spend millions on Henderson?

I thought the same - pulled off some good saves and good with the ball. Invest in another FB/CB/CDM for me.

Positives
- Serge back to form, played really well and bagged 2 assists!!
- Taiwo continues his amazing scoring run.
- Wood with an incredible header giving a taste of what could happen with the right service.
- Yates came on and within 3 minutes changed the game in our favour doing the simple stuff.
- Elanga looked very dangerous again.
- Turners save was huge.
- After a poor start to 2nd half and conceding we got ourselves back into it.
- 3 points against those horrible to$$ers. (2 separate groups of SU tried to start a fight as we walked to game)

Negatives
- I know those will not be popular but that's 2 games now where MGW has given away the ball far too much and his show pony tricks mostly failed (bar that great 1st half turn away from 2). I'm sick of reading peoples criticism of other players not retaining possession, but MGW (potentially a terrific player) gets a free pass. He needs to improve his shooting and ball retention, then he will be an England player and we will win more games.His setpieces were much better though.
- I hope Scott McKenna puts tonight behind him quickly. He may not be the best CB in the world  but he's alot better than he showed tonight.
- The way we came out 2nd half was terrible. We have to start better than that.

Overall a decent effort. The entitlement of some acting like they would roll over was amazing. Hamer looks a decent player and they will have believed they could get something tonight. Giving the ball away will always invite teams onto you more than any "tactics". Onto Old Trafford hopefully Yates starts.

I know no other fan base as horrible as theirs. Been up there a few times and been subjected to voilence. Much more than any other club. Ive also worked with blunts fans (in professional offices) who are utter cunts. They all seem to be full of aggression for some reason. Probably Arthur Scargill related issues.  Contrast to the Wednesday fans who all seem fine.

Anyone else notice heckingbottom got booked just after half time last night and was trying to wind Johnson up in the tunnel. Horrible man. Dirty tactics. Cooper had to intervene #nffc

Yates is my favourite player but his game suits it when we press. I think we will see more of him away from home than at the WFCG this season. This is why we have a squad and not just 11 players.

For me the change of formation was a massive factor is the second half. Allowed us to close the middle of the pitch and regain control further up. Knew it was going to be a game of periods as well but due to the importance of that one I could feel the nerves and frustration building. Glad for the win just need to improve performance while getting the result.

At the end of last season I felt that there had to be more to him than we had seen. You don't have the career he had otherwise. I truly hope this is the start of the real Chris Wood playing for us. 

I also didn't like how he was paired with Shelvey in conversation as the issues surrounding Shelvey appear very different. 

One swallow doesn't make a summer, but fingers crossed because that was some header.

At the end of last season I felt that there had to be more to him than we had seen. You don't have the career he had otherwise. I truly hope this is the start of the real Chris Wood playing for us.

Whilst he started badly last year, he was largely injured, probably unfair to judge him on that. Had he stayed fot and scored 5+ goals he'd have looked a good signing. Also last year he was playing in that split wide forwards formation to begin with which obviously didn't suit him.
