Yup. Of course we want to get as much money out of a deal as we can, but it seems a bit daft to be turning down *everything* because no offers have reached this mythical figure of £10m.
If you value youself worthy of £10m and then sell for £5m there's absolutely no way of escalating the price on the next negotiation. I can see why he's holding out. The quastion for me is are we worth the £10m in the first place? Is being associated with Forest really going to generate £10m+ in additional revenue for any company?
The other issue is the gambling firms aren't allowed to be sponsors after this season so I assume it's making it more difficult with less options.

See Man U have just signed a 10 year deal with Adidas for £900million shirt sponsorship, wonder how much we received to switch from Macron, packet of crisps and a Mars bar? Do we have an effective commercial department in place or are we still in amateur mode?

In commercial terms, every clubs amateur compared to Man Utd.

Is that correct nffc93? if so we as a club are SO far behind the big six clubs. Man U are get 300 times MORE per year then us from Adidas no wonder we will have issues with FFP if we do not start running this club on a better commercial footing.

Everyone in the world has heard of Manchester United whereas we are Nottingham Who ? Unfortunately. we have a small ground are a small provincial club and a small worldwide TV audience. Man U are in a commercial sense, so much more a draw for advertisers hence they command huge commercial revenue, I wish it wasn't so but...

Of course we are far behind the top six on commercial terms, twelve months ago we were a Championship club.

To give you an idea JL, NFFC have 628 thousand Twitter followers (or X followers , Musk you absolute knob!)
Man Utd have 36.6 MILLION.
Thats 58 times as many, Ive just worked it out. Its not 300x but if all those Korean Japanese and American “fans” by a shirt it is a ridiculous amount more. Their new shirt deal alone is worth £90m a year or roughly the same as the Sky TV deal. Its bonkers.
That said, our commercial department does seem at least from the outside to be in something of a mess and if we start the again season with no sponsor to be honest it’s unforgivable.
