A couple of options at the table according to Danny Taylor.
I would be surprised if come the first game we still hadn’t finalised something.

Paul Taylor's article today says we 'continue to search' for a sponsor. So we've gone from 'more than one option' to 'continue to search.'

Apparently one deal that was felt to be close then didn't happen. Wonder if that's what Widdow was talking about before.

If this is indeed the case its another indicator that we do not have leadership behind the scenes, with the commercial department having had over 12 months to sort this. Are we asking to much or just incompetent?

Asking too much I suspect, although the lack of a sponsor doesnt keep me awake at night.

It's not the biggest issue but it's a very obvious one. It just looks so unprofessional. There we are (or were last season) back in the Premier League for the first time in nearly a quarter of a century, with images of our players plastered on Sky, BT Sports and FIFA, with a big, empty space on the front of their shirts.

I know some people prefer shirts like that but from a professionalism point of view I feel it's shabby.

I dont view it as a lack of professionalism. If anything it demonstrates a degree of stoicism by not being prepared to either sell to anyone for anything or selling to a morally questionable company, ie a betting company.

Yup. Of course we want to get as much money out of a deal as we can, but it seems a bit daft to be turning down *everything* because no offers have reached this mythical figure of £10m.

If you value youself worthy of £10m and then sell for £5m there's absolutely no way of escalating the price on the next negotiation. I can see why he's holding out. The quastion for me is are we worth the £10m in the first place? Is being associated with Forest really going to generate £10m+ in additional revenue for any company?
