Great news that is

Very happy to hear that.

We have missed SR input into the coaching and matches, big loss when he left and very happy that he has returned as part of the backroom staff, we will be much stronger for his re-appointment.

How could you possibly know that?

Not really Forest news but former reported managerial targets have found alternative employment, Gerrard has gone to Saudi and Viera to Strasbourg. Coops sleeps slightly easier tonight, or at least until he loses a couple of games and the rumours start again.

Doubt they were ever Forest targets to be honest.

Viera was sounded out by Forest and was under consideration after the Leeds defeat. Marinakis chose to stick not twist and fair play to him for doing so, many owners would not have done. Whether it was slightly underhand to be looking at alternatives I dont know but its the way it works.

Gerrard probably is a bit 2+2=5. Marinakis reportedly a huge fan as Gerrard the player. Wilson coming in made you think it could be a possibility to reunite them. In all likelihood he was never seriously considered though.

Athletic reporting that Alek Gross - formerly Southampton's head of sports science and fitness coach - has been appointed as Forest's head of performance.

While it might be quiet so far on the transfers front some much-needed structure is being added to the backroom at least.

Aye, I have to admit it Murphy must have been a fish out of water to not get any of this in place when we came up.
