Brennan Johnson
If that’s the case I wish him well and hope we get the most we can for him. I’m really fed up of this will he won’t he every season, especially if it’s disrupting our preparations for the start of the season. If he really wants awsy I wish one of the top six would come in with an acceptable bid so we can move on.

So that has definitely encouraged them to bid. Reports say Brennan is also changing his agent. Normally this is done when you are looking to facilitate a move away.  I would like him to stay but all the signs are of him going or wanting to go.

Surely that was with us being relegated in mind but we stayed up which changes everything.

I'm not against the sale of Johnson at all as Forest has always been a selling club and its been needed to happen in the past and IF and thats a big IF we are close to the ceiling of FFP then the sale of BJ is a good reason and it shows a good return on someone that cost us nothing. Then theres the other way to see this and thats if he wants to go then it is good practice to get the best possible price and if thats £50m-£60m then again its a good return. Personally I'm not in the practice of selling one of our best players but like I said if his heads been turned by some offer he likes then get rid of and move on.

Im fed up with this annual drama about whether BJ is leaving. If he doesn't want to be here then he can do one as far as I'm concerned.

Allegedly this meeting was after the Palace match so no, we'd have been safe then.

Anyone else think the old man is a bit of a helmet or is it just me?

Ah, didn't see that. I'm just going by what I read on Twitter which could, of course, be garbage.

Playing devils advocate, I would defend dt simply for doing what he thinks is best for his son. He will know there are a lot of players in that Forest squad who have been paid significantly more for doing diddly-squat. Perhaps this is leverage to try and get Forest to open up negotiations on a bigger and better contract. No idea personally but just a theory.
