Taking a step back, with Luton or Coventry up next season and hopefully Everton with points deduction next year, we’ve almost got a free hit in the PL to build. Maybe EM sees this and thinks now is the time to get a top, top manager in?

Of course, any change is to be judged by the quality of the replacement. Sacking cooper for guardiola would not upset the apple cart.

However, there is always a risk that the change might not work. I’m not saying cooper is perfect but he deserves the chance to continue to learn and improve. He’s earned it and better the devil you know atm I suggest.
EM should not underestimate the strength of the bond cooper has with the fans and the players.
No one is bigger than the club but cooper really has established a goodwill fortress very quickly.
Maybe that is what EM fears?

So, had it confirmed to me that Antonio Cordon who is now working very closely with EM at Olympiakos will indeed also have an advisory roll at Nottingham Forest. For those who don't know Cordon you should check him out. Very well respected and has vast knowledge of the Spanish leagues and the South American market.
