A vast majority wanted SOD to stay, this is the same scenario for me; a marginally underperforming squad not quite high enough up the league and an impatient owner.
Only 2 wins in the next 2 will save him. We’re due a bit of luck imo

For me thus is totally different to the SOD scenario. We are but 12 months into the most encouraging, positive period of the last 20 years - let’s not throw it all away.

I think AK has his weaknesses...……… we as fans can see it.
The horrible Watson/Colback middle duo. Substitutions that are plain wrong, the most recent being taking off Robinson and putting on Janko against free flowing Norwich - where he should have put on Osborn to at least balance and have a left footed player at left back in those closing 15 minutes. That game he should have left Cash on, but taken off Carv and put Gueds into the number 10 role - to threaten Norwich with shots on target from anywhere around the box and have fresh legs in that pivotal role. That would have shut them down. For me this is his weakness - he cannot read the ongoing game situation well and does not use his squad effectively. Dias is good at covering if Robinson or Osborn is at LB. To change Janko and then have Dias and Janko on the left was madness. So.……….. I would say, if a better manager is available, like Jardim, and EM is willing to back him in January - then lets get Jardim in and lets go for it. If nobody better is available and its change just for the sake of changing - then we stick with AK but hopefully this little scare will focus his mind to look at his own problems and issues and why his team and the changes he is making is not winning games. There could be other things behind the scenes...……….. lets say EM has offered Jardim mega money and Jardim has guaranteed he can bring in some very big names on loan - we get a superb manager and very good players for the 2nd half of the season. If EM were to know this is possible, and you if you were the owner, would you not be tempted to go for it...………. given that the target you set for AK is very likely not to be achieved and so he will be cheaper to get rid off as he has failed to meet a predetermined goal in his contract. There could be so many other things going on in the background that we are obviously not aware of - all we can do is take it one game at a time and let the owner decide whats best for NFFC because its his money that's being invested in the club.

Looks like it is 6 points in the next 2 games or else.
Now we will see if he really has lost the dressing room...

Karanka has his weaknesses but I’d only want him replaced if there’s someone very good ready to step in. And there could be stuff behind the scenes that we don’t know. So let’s support Karanka while he’s here, and support the owners too. After all they hired Karanka, they’ve invested, they’ve put the professionalism behind the scenes etc. If we’re in February and we’re playing hoofball under MoN in 14th place then sure let’s have a moan, but unless and until let’s not start lining up against the owners. In the meantime look on the positives of it and enjoy the festive period ?? [/quote]

Good debate and appreciate the poll and everyones perspectives
I hated everything about AK very early into his tenure (after the Hull cup loss), having said that he had only won 3 out of his 28 or so league games in the PL yet had managed to draw 14, here he won 5 out of 25 last season Prior to the start of this season he has been badly out of form and many flaws which are glaringly obvious very highlighted, I am surprised he got the gig this season Even so, I tried to get into enjoying the season and to be honest he has achieved some amazing results and there have been some good times. The main problem is the ecstacy and potent positives from some games cannot seemingly be bottled up and carried consistently forward The bottom line is AK doesn't do positivity full stop Underlying problem for me is the club owners and AK don't do transparency it wreaks of dodgy deals to me and we don't really know who was really behind the significant signings Besides us all yearning for the big time there isn't really enough of a feeling of a community or football club. Every interview AK has done has been mediocre though probably not permitted to discuss any real issues, maybe there is rule about him showing any form of positivity or joy whatsoever The absolute bottom line is a good manager has a certain ability to resurrect a phoenix from the flames, any manager or bloke off the street would experience some form of success with £25m and 25 players plus everyone who was still here and the academy To be able to score 5 at Villa and 3 at Norwich, top of the league side yet lose to QPR and Preston at home after good results and everything seemingly clicking into place, is the enigma that is AK, sadly a guy we will never get to know or understand
