If they went up surely they wouldn’t be playing any home games in Luton! What we had to do to become prem standard would be ten fold for them!

Not condoning the isolated violence which has happened at other clubs too but how do you prevent it with a roll of red and white tape?
The clubs are “failing to control their fans” but the only way to control them is to install pitch side fencing which is thankfully illegal or horizontal fencing as at Wembley which the vast majority of clubs don’t have physical space to do. It happens once a season and very rarely causes problems, think it is a non issue.

Never used to be an issue did it?
Remember Hereford beating Arsenal in the cup with that Screamer from Ronnie Radford and the pitch invasion that followed. It is embraced as one of the greatest moments in FA Cup history with no mention of the pitch invasion.

Not a lot the club can do really. They could threaten to ban anyone they identify doing it but that doesn't feel very workable. Ultimately it's the responsibility of the individual and unfortunately many are unable to control themselves.

It was a full blooded football match following 23 years of absolute S**t against one of our most hated rivals. The match swung from end to end and went to the very last minute on penalties.
What were we supposed to do just stay in our seats and clap and say bravo old chap that was bloody marvellous absolutely spiffing.

I just wouldn't want Forest to be the club that's made an example of due to a pitch invasion. With what happened to Billy Sharp last year I think we can count ourselves lucky to have only got a part-suspended £50k fine. We might not be so lucky next time and that'll be the fans' fault if it happens.

Well it's hard to get onto the pitch from the upper tiers and the Sheffield United fans behind the goal had no reason to celebrate. It's easy to see why it happened and circumstances like the ones I mentioned above should be taken into consideration. We are only human.

Got to disagree with you here, sniff. There are so many complete nob heads out there these days and a large amount that carry knives sadly. There can be no excuses as at some point in the future you can see there being a real disaster. Another situation where unfortunately the majority have to suffer tighter rules because of the potential downside of the minority.

Luton v Sunderland last night, on TV you could hear repeated announcements to not go on pitch. Full time, loads of stewards/police ready with the rolls of tape. 2 mins later, tons of supporters on the pitch celebrating (with the players)

Be interesting to see what fine Sheffield Wednesday will get for their fans going on the pitch AND also knocking over the assistant ref last night and I'm pretty sure the bosses at NF will be keeping an eye on this as well.
