Just been reading up on it.
He does have a year left at Forest, but Nathan Jones hinted at the time Luton signed him, there was an option to buy at the end of the loan deal. Hinted though doesn't necessarily mean there is one, but why say that if there isn't?

Reckon we need a new keeper whichever league we end up in. Stay up and the choices are obvious. Not convinced about Horvarth as a No1 even in Championship.
As for Shelvey mentioned above. I’ve forgotten about him and looks like the rest of the squad have too. Think we will take the hit in summer and he gets to move again. Finding someone gullible enough to match what we are paying him is the tricky bit.

For me, I think we give him a chance TBH. 19 clean sheets in the Championship is no small feat at the end of the day.
Also, he would save us literally thousand's in wages, compared to the likes of Henderson and/or Navas, neither of whom will be playing for us next season, realistically.
What do others think? Do you think he is worth a chance or is it too much of a risk?
Was this prompted by the Athletic article on Horvath that is on there today? If not it is a stunning coincidence!
Fwiw, in the article he sounds like he's keen to be a starter next year too, so would only likely be that with us in the championship. I think there's a good chance he ends up at Luton permanently although not sure if they could offer us much of a fee unless they go up.
I reckon if we stay up we'll sign Henderson although he has been linked with a few teams, think we'd be aggressive though and be in pole position. Not sure he'd want to sign for Spurs for example unless Lloris was definitely already gone.
Also, back to Horvath briefly, that article reminded me he came on in the playoff final for injury time, had completely forgotten that little tidbit!

Funnily enough Wassy, it was a complete coincidence.
I wasnt aware about that article until after I had posted that,

Think Taiwo deserves a mention.
Is that 8 goals in 15 starts?

It makes it so frustrating that he looked like he was just about to go on this run before he got injured.
Arguably more impressive he's managing it now whilst also having to rebuild his fitness at the same time. Massive props to him, early on in the year his touch and run of easy misses (Bournemouth for example) definitely doubted whether he was capable. However, he's settled now and is flying.

Yep, he was absolutely dire when he first came. Our good run and this latest resurgence is primarily down to him.

He wasn’t dire but he was adapting to a new and quicker paced league than he was used to. He was doing well, then he got injured and had to start over.
Maybe recent good results are down to him but doesn’t that prove the point that we have been desperately unlucky with injuries and had we had more luck we would already be safe. Also that poor results aren’t solely because of the manager as was the narrative on here a few weeks back.

That was never solely the case SM if we are honest.
But some of the managers team selections, subs and tactics at the time were being questioned by some and rightly so in my opinion.

Fair play to the manager for properly managing his fitness and return from injury, had we pushed him too hard I doubt we would have the same number of points right now
