I’d have spence back on a permanent in a heartbeat.
Given the choice between lodi neco and spence for starting wingbacks- I’d have spence over neco at RB and neco over lodi at LB.
This armchair management and recruitment is easy lol

Porro has looked good for them so imagine he's available although we'd still need to pay up.

We do have what appears to be a core of young, talented players to build around.
Danilo, Johnson, MGW, Mangala, Niakhate (jury is still out but hes good at throw ins), Awoniyi, Yates, plus is Neco. They all look like they are capable of playing at this level at have all shown a clear improvement over the season, a combination of players adapting to the new country/league and good coaching.
Add in a new keeper plus so cover for Brennan and Taiwo and a left back. (Lodi and Hendo hopefully) Spence too perhaps?
Then you've got a decent core of experienced veterans led by the beast that is Felipe (captain next year?!). Kouyate and Boly also look like decent assets.
Just got to get over the line first.
IF we survive (and you know I'm normally very optimistic) I'm terrified of second season syndrome. Our squad us quite weak in many ways for this league (not in number obviously). Too many injury prone partly, too many making individual errors. Not a huge overhaul, as you say we may have nucleus of a team, but need a few quality additions.

If we do stay up then we should definitely be taking players from those that go down.

I'm not so sure, the relegated teams only have a handful of decent players, need to be very careful.
Felipe, Navas, Danilo, Scarpa have all come in used to winning.

Players like Harvey Barnes are a clear step up. You could easily list half a dozen players that would vastly improve us.

I think we need to stay up before we start choosing who we'll be signing next season. One freak win by Leicester or Leeds and we're bang back in trouble.

And they'll be buying our players

Who do you reckon it would be? Apart from the obvious players like Brennan I wouldn't be surprised if Yates was targeted by an Everton or a Sheffield Utd type team. I reckon someone would take Dennis if we let him go cheapish and I also think Aurier would get a year somewhere. Then there's Wood and Shelvey to consider. Are their Forest careers over before they've really started? A lot of clubs would want those two if they were affordable.

That’s why I pretext it with “if we stay up”
