Thoughts On The Next Nottingham Forest Manager
Cooper has done amazing to get us this far, especially with all the injuries. But he has also been one of the reasons why we have dropped silly points at times.
I'm a massive fan of Cooper and he will be remembered forever for getting out of the Championship. I'll be very happy if he stays, but I can also understand if he goes. If he does then I will be supporting the new manager, whether I agree or disagree that he is the right person (or better than Cooper).

This is a fair and honest assessment and i agree.

I agree up until the bit about understanding if he goes. If Cooper is forced out after keeping us up, I and I believe the majority of fans will be very angry. I also think we'd be a laughing stock to other teams.

Whoever the new manager is, unless he has instant success the chants for Cooper will be there straight away.

I get that, but won't be joining in. I'm sure that if Marinakis does decide to change manager then it will be carefully considered. He has shown enormous restraint this season.
I don't care if the media or other fans think we are a laughing stock. So many other clubs are. All season people have been laughing at us for the amount of signings we have made!

Some are still laughing at Cooper for signing Wood, Shelvey and Ayew.

Or laughing at our away form or at some of our substitutions.

Personally I don't find it funny.

Yeah I mean it's more just another reason not to do it, just feels like we've got such a good feeling around the ground at the moment. Atmosphere vs Brighton was surely the best it's ever been. I just don't understand why you'd want to give up that advantage and create likely divisions within the fanbase including inevitable anger towards the owners (in the event we stayed up)

I do agree that the end of the season is the correct time to change manager if you are going to do it. Best options available of new managers and allows any new manager to do pre-season and make any changes required early.

Are they laughing at him for signing Danilo and Felipe too?

No of course not.

50% hit rate isn't exactly the worst. Honestly I thought Ayew played well on Saturday too.

Wood, we'll never really know as he got injured but Cooper definitely messed up not adjusting our tactics to suit him. I still think he's an ok striker, would do well in the championship. I think he'd suit the current setup better where Brennan and MGW are playing much deeper and Awoniyi is very much the loan striker.

Of course someone very much 'Cooper out' would suggest the Brazilians we signed would have been the influence of a now sacked DOF - albeit, we believe that Coops and him got on well and would have support each others plans.

Lets try and keep this thread on track please.

It's for discussing the next manager.

Although I do appreciate that we have a manager at the moment.

However it's no secret that EM has spoken to other managers so the thread is valid so if we can keep it on track it would be good.
