Stolen from Nottingham Live article. If we go down where are the holes in this squad? GK and RB stand out. Lots of CB but several out of contract in 2024 (if their dates are correct). Depends who we might sell as well.

How the hell have we managed to end up with 35 players already contracted for next season???

In other words even when the loans go back and you take off those out of contract we still be paying 10 players to sit on their arses all season. Im sure some will leave but its the type of thing that could only happen in football, the clubs CFO must be silently weeping on occasion.

Be amazed if we don’t sign 10 more by the end of August whatever division we are in. If we do manage to stay up by my reckoning only 7 or 8 of those 35 are good enough to be Premier League footballers.

I don't think Scarpa showed anything to claim a regular spot.
Like I said from the beginning, 29 years old is late to arrive in the Premier League from South America.
Lovely chap, good footballer but was never going to be a regular.
He was free and worth a punt.

Scarpa needs a run of games to adjust. His vision and control is next level. Lacks blistering pace but is physically up to it. He has had a calf injury and is back on grass.

Scarpa is / has been injured.
Calf issue and has been working with the physios.
TBF he has had a decent chunk of game time when he has been fit.
his game is not really suited do a deep block and then springing counter attacks.
Athleticism is not his elite trait, unlike Danilo, Brennan and MGW

Come on that’s a ridiculous comment. No manager “hates” creative players ever Pulis or Allerdyce.

Scarpa’s game isn’t suited to the Premier League IMO and suspect never will be. Reckon nailed on he’s at Olympiacos next year.
