I'd like to add Morgan Gibbs White to your list and mention Sam Surridge who hasn't complained, at least publicly despite being treated appallingly.

Wasn't there a big story about Surridge kicking off earlier in the season?

What was the point of giving Sturridge a place in our 25 man squad when Cooper is never going to play him.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to give O'Brien his place instead.

Cooper does seem to like playing his favourites, the way he has treated Surridge and O'Brien by shipping O'Brien out of the door so he could make room in the team for Shelvey was a grave mistake, some of Coopers signings have been dog muck.

Come on let's not pretend O'Brien was something that he isn't. If he played you guys would be fuming that he was keeping Danilo and Mangala out.

O'Brien is a championship midfielder, plus wasn't there a massive fallout with him after the Leicester game? Hence why he wasn't used after that?

All managers play their favourites. Cloughie played John McGovern at Derby Leeds and Forest. I can remember fans questioning McGovern’s place in the team. O Neil was preferred to Terry Curran for a while with many believing Curran was our best player at the time. The truth is managers know their players better than supporters. I was disappointed O Brien didn’t make the squad.

+1

He made a few sub appearances after that and was poor in all of them.

Same old thing, players reputations improving in their absence.

Well we were actually talking about Surridge being included when he never ever gets a game at the expense of O'Brien who in the absence of Yates and Kouyate could have come in useful. What is even more baffling is that O'Brien was let go and replaced with Shelvey.

This the same Surridge who missed a bunch of sitters when he came on? Pretty sure vs Chelsea was one which cost us 2 points and another vs Leicester. He definitely isn’t the player of last season when he was kept out the team by Kienan Davis who still plays in the Championship

Exactly so why is he in Cooper's 25 man squad instead of O'Brien for example. That is what we are trying to figure out.
