Stevie Cooper
End of the day - we have to keep Cooper now.

Its too late to change - there might be a miracle ahead...........Palace thrashing Leeds has helped for sure.

He has to go attacking Manure on Sunday. Already his tactics have resulted in losing to Manure three times this season, try something different FFS Stevie................. it might just take everyone by surprise and we might win a game.........

Steve has a lot to answer for with some of the signings he's asked for or that he has given a green light to.

It's weird as on paper and based on reviews from rival fans, Wood and Shelvey were good signings. I certainly felt Wood would allow us to get further up the pitch with his hold up play.

Felipe has done really well to be balanced too. Navas sounded good on paper too and started well. I'm pretty confident Danilo will come good too long term. We were all pretty disappointed we didn't sign another attacking wide player though.

Do we keep Danilo if we go down.

Course we do.
The idea behind the young players we bought, was that if we did go down, they were the ones that could come back with us.

No reason why Williams, Worrall, Niakhate, Mangala, Danilo, LOB, Awoniyi, MGW can’t form the basis to come back with.

Just think two years ago, how much we'd loved to have the riches in terms of squad we'll have at that level next year (if we go down).

Can’t see us keeping MGW in championship

Where's he going? Why would we sell?

So do the people in charge that said OK to them.

Steve Cooper is not in charge of recruitment. Somewhere in this club, someone has to take responsibility for whatever our recruitment strategy has become.
Grant on Twitter has said that we need to have a recruitment strategy based on Intensity, Mobility, Athleticism and Speed. He goes on to say that it would allow us to press, cover ground and attack relentlessly.
He's right.

Are you seriously telling me that Steve Cooper does not have the final say on signings.

He even said so himself in the summer. Don't you remember him asking for more and more player's in his interviews because I do.

Who signed Wood, Shelvey and Ayew in January? There is only Cooper and Giraldi there, there is nobody else. So who do you think signed them?

And who the f**k is Grant? And what makes him right?

First, Grant has been a commentator on our youth setup and development of players for a long time. If you don't know him, perhaps you should. Second, you will do anything to defend current leadership of the club. You blamed wassy for never saying anything bad about Cooper. You do the same with those running the club. Finally, Cooper may have final say but he is not in charge of recruitment. Someone (Giraldi?, Milto?) has to ok these signings. We've ditched any strategy we had and gone completely scattergun with our signings and you can blame Cooper if you like but absolving those above him that are in charge is just burying your head in the sand.

For what it's worth, Cooper does deserve some blame. But not all of it.

I wouldn't say the signings were 'scattergun.' In theory the likes of Wood and Shelvey - as players with years of Premier League experience - made sense. They've definitely not worked out so far though.

With regards to who chose them though, without being privy to the conversations we'll never know for sure. But if it's a team effort then everyone involved has to take some responsibility. Unless Cooper explicitly said he didn't want those players - which I very much doubt - then he can't be absolved of all blame. And if he specifically asked the likes of Giraldo or whoever to get those players and they signed them for him then more of that blame has to go to him. Or do we want his choice of player to be overruled? Not sure that would go down well. We don't know anyway.

I do know him actually through Social Media and we have been following each other on Twitter for years. He is one of those who sucks up to DT and who likes to have a pop at our owners. Youth football is a whole different ball game to the PL. Complete chalk and cheese, nor does he know anything about running a football club.

However if I ever took up an interest in youth football then I would be happy to listen to him.

I don't bury my head in the sand. I always say we that we win together and we lose together, we go up together and we go down together, I have said it many times. I also said on this forum last week that EM is not exempt from some blame.

Good for you. I've also just said Cooper deserves some of the blame.
If you know the guy on Twitter, then there was no need for the snarky remark. He doesn't just comment on youth football either. The post I quoted was a direct comment about recruitment.
