Actually the fact that EM listens at all to a fan group is encouraging and should mean he is aware of the feelings here too. Its a bit double edged of course and we know if the big guy feels strongly he couldn’t care less what anyone else thinks. Regardless and despite earlier comments I would far prefer an owner like ours who is present and asks questions of a manager to one who couldn’t find the stadium on a map, plenty of them out there. I remain critical at times but we are lucky to have EM.

I just hope EM doesnt make history by sacking 2 managers in one day.

Serious question Sniff if we should find ourselves relegated what is the likely hood that the big man will hang around to see if we can get promoted back again to the prem, or will he pull the plug and sell the club.

No I don't think he will pull the plug at all.

Wow - he has just gone up in my estimation here:
statement from Nottingham Forest owner, Evangelos Marinakis: “No one denies that our Club is in a difficult position in the Premier League, but we wish to end the speculation and the false and disruptive reporting in the media to confirm that Steve Cooper remains our manager at Nottingham Forest. “We have all been disappointed with recent performances and it is very clear that a lot of hard work needs to be done to address this urgently. Results and performances must improve immediately. “Now is the time for everyone connected with our club, from us as owners, to the board, our supporters, backroom staff, coaches and players - to come together and fight to secure our status in the Premier League. “There can be no time for distractions, rumours and speculation. There is only time for hard work, determination, a commitment from Steve and the players to getting the results we need and, of course, the continued magnificent support of the fans of Nottingham Forest.” Evangelos Marinakis

Great news and well done EM! That is a perfect statement.
I have made comments on the other thread about other clubs being run better than Forest. One of those reasons is that I have always felt some clubs have been successful by being stable and looking to the long term. EM is clearly demonstrating he can do the same and I applaud him for it. Even they now decide Steve goes in the summer it can be looking to the future and getting the right person for the right circumstance. No more knee jerk decisions, this is the Forest I want.

Stunned. Didn't see that coming.
EM's backed him so now performances and results have to improve immediately, over to you Steve. Thank you Mr Marinakis.

EM has really shown how committed he is to the club. long term over a short sharp fix. also shows other managers if you are lucky enough to manage forest in the future then the owners aren't going to let you go in the first sign of trouble.
We are lucky to have him.

Honestly stunned again, as much as I think the decision should be straightforward, I fully accept that the standard in modern football is when in doubt sack the manager. I think this is stupid but the majority of club owners seem to disagree with me. So can give nothing but congratulations to EM for bucking the trend. Was it because there are no decent options available, maybe but that is partly whey repeated managerial changes don't work as there's a reason these managers are out of work! I hope this is for the rest of the season. If I'm Cooper, I think it's time for another big change. Bring back the 352, Jonno and Taiwo or maybe MGW up top, MGW or Danilo deeper, Mangala/Danilo or Kouyate in the centre and the rest picks itself.
