Next Fri will be a test to see if heads and confidence have dropped. Yesterday's loss will be a test of character and if they are up for the fight.
Lingard's half time subbing and Worrall's being aware of the Twitter abuse he got yesterday might be an indicator of where we are heading. That should have hurt them yesterday.
We can not afford to lose this next game. I have little faith in getting a point on the road for the rest of the season so it's now put huge pressure on us to win home games even more. Can we cope with that?

DR Forest, agreed we do appear to have the worst playing squad in the league and why do you think that is? We basically started from scratch with player recruitment. I assume that SC wanted these players (or not) we may have assembled a squad in numbers but certainly not a balanced, hardworking and skilled team, where should we place the blame if at the seasons end we are reflecting on what might have been?

Seen lots of comments this morning which are more positive and calling out those posting abuse, I have every confidence that the fans will be fired up on Friday and that Cooper will send out a team to get a result.
Its worth bearing in mind where we were 18 months ago. Hughton standing on the touchline with his hands in his pockets looking clueless while an awful Cardiff team ran rings around us.
Careful what you wish for. The best person to keep us where we are now is Steve Cooper I have no doubt.

If our home form turns into the average form for a team fighting relegation then we're absolutely down. Getting nothing away from home is just adding pressure to home games. We now need a win, for example against Newcastle or we could be bottom 3 by sunday.
I reckon if we go back in the bottom 3 we dont get out his time.

To clarify, I’m not blaming cooper or the recruitment team.
It’s just a fact of life for a newly promoted team- let alone one that immediately lost more than half the regulars who got them promoted.
The only ‘mistake’ we may be guilty of is underestimating the breadth of the gap between divisions but I think that has surprised us all tbf.

Don't think he will get sacked but EM will be having nightmares.
For the first time Steve looks a bit lost and at present I think it's fair to say that he's struggling to come up with the answers.
I don't get this 'it doesn't matter if we go down as long as Cooper stays' attitude either.
My club is Nottingham Forest it's not Steve Cooper.
Steve doesn't just become a bad manager over night so fingers crossed he can still turn this present situation around.
My feelings exactly.

I felt Cooper tried everything last night. We were a matter of seconds from nicking a point despite being outplayed. Although some players appeared to be struggling, I could understand his reticence about making subs. MGW and Shelvey in particular were having another off night, but still put in a shift and either one has a moment of magic in their locker.
Have to say though, albeit for about 2 minutes Scarpa looked confident, which is certainly something we are lacking.
I really feel that SC was let down by a mad moment in injury time. He's still going into a gun fight with a water pistol.

Question is now, what do you do for Wolves? Back to 433 or stick with the more attacking approach?
We were slaughtered down our left yesterday. The Dennis/Shelvey combo was not effective.

I put in the other thread. For me Shelvey was the problem not Dennis.
In my opinio we need to go back to the formation and personnel that was working in early January. That means not shoehorning Wood or Shelvey into a system that doesn’t suit either.

Yeah I think that formation suits Brennan and Dennis way more too. Dennis could easily play the role Taiwo played too. Neither are good at defending and tracking. It was very noticeable how much more solid we looked when Neco came on. Couldn't tell whether we switched to 433 or just Neco defended better (as you'd expect)
I actually think Shelvey suits the 433 better than last night's tactics and vice versa Wood would've suited last night but not 433.
