Yes, I dont think I will bother with the 2nd half, going to more of the same but perhaps Ayew and Wood will come on.
Who can explain why Lingard is starting and Scarpa is not.........thats down to the manager............
Scarpa is a central midfielder and Lingard is (theoretically) capable of playing out wide. It's first game back from injury, it does take time.
Who's everyone going to want in to replace Wood when Scarpa does nothing too? Well he's not even on the bench and yet it's reported there are no new injury concerns. What's going on with him, anything?
Maybe they decided he needed a rest for a bit. He had just played a full season when he joined and then played much more than expected due to injury early on.
Perhaps back after the international break (complete guess)

He changed it vs West Ham and they scored 4. He's changed it today not playing Wood.
Maybe, maybe we just aren't good enough right now.
How about playing 4.3.3 and attacking a game for once, could even play 5.4.1 and try to defend. Lodi can play lcb.
We are playing 433...

I'm calling it now. This away approach will result in us getting relegated. We look a million miles away from looking remotely capable of scoring an away goal.
I blame Cooper for this. Its the same every single game.

I mean they are still 4th, they're not that bad.
They did convincingly beat Chelsea all of two league games ago

Scarpa needs game time........give him 15 starts in a row and then judge. So far he has had not very minutes on the pitch.
Scarpa has played just 160 minutes. Thats not even 2 full matches.
LOB has had 580 minutes game time.
I dont get some people berating Scarpa has "done nothing" when he has had so very LITTLE time on the pitch.
Lingard has had 880 minutes this season so far......no goals.....no assists............. and he starts ?

Seriously, what are you expecting him to do differently? It's the fact the players available are not good enough.

So Scarpa is allowed 15 starts in a row but Lingard isn't allowed 45 mins?
He also played in FA Cup and League Cup which you're conveniently ignoring FYI

Wassy, as ever I admire your defence of the team (as ever) but todays result is about us not them. There's not been one single positive thung we've done so far in this game. Spurs wont get an easier run out this season. And pretty much every home side walks of the pitch thinking rhe same. Away we're worse tham Derby were.

He abandoned Johnson as centre forward after 20 minutes then put Lingard there. MGW getting shoved everywhere. Lingard at one point ran the whole half length, won the ball - gave it to freuler who gave it straight back to a spurs player. Spurs haven’t had to break sweat once. All their front 3 pick up the ball in pockets - back 4 passive and midfield too slow. Crap. Crap crap. Ayew FFS…

i'm going to throw this in there, maybe on the wrong thread but here goes.
I have read numerous times that Cooper is a first class coach and that "he knows what he is doing" but consider this, perhaps he doesn't know what hes doing at this level and is a little naive. Maybe promotion came too early for him and he lacks the nouse in the Premier league...tin hat on.
To keep this on topic have we made any subs at half time?

I'm not defending the performance or even the players, just the situation. I know it sucks we're one of the worst teams but we all knew that coming in. We spent a lot sure but so did pretty much everyone else or they had already spent a lot in previous years. Was always going to be tough and I firmly accepted at the start of the season that we were justifiably relegation favourites. Doesn't mean giving up but there's no harm in accepting where we are. I actually believe this has worked in our favour too at times. Ultimately our season won't come down to away games to top 6 teams either. Getting everyone fit for that run after the international break will be the deciding factor. Also be really handy if a few teams starting dropping more points!

Can see Scarpa sitting there with the subs but not in squad.
Lingard was desperately poor again.
I have nothing against Ayew, think he has done a job when asked but seriously does he get in the team for any other PL club? No he doesn’t.
