Away Form

I haven't checked but it must be the worst in the whole four divisions.

Indeed it is both the worst points total (4) and the worst goal difference (-26) of any team in not just the top 4 divisions but the National league too.

However if you want a crumb of comfort both Leeds and West Ham only have 4 away points too and Everton only have 5.

Thanks for that SM I feel much better now (not).

Funnily enough I feel our current tactics suit playing away from home. We just haven't taken the opportunities so far.

I'll probably say this on every thread though. Can we just acknowledge we are one of the weaker sides in the league. That is before you take out 4 of our best players to injury! No wonder we're not playing as well as we have been.

Our away form is shit no matter which team we put out and no matter who is injured or not injured. We have the same injuries when we play at home but our home form is quiet strong.

We are making history for all the wrong reasons having the worst away form in the top four divisions and the National League too.

I appreciate some want to try and defend it and to dress it up but it is what it is, it's shit.

Had we have won yesterday we'd have been 16th in the away table. Can it be historically bad when two other teams have the same away points?

Wassy if my aunty had a penis she would be my uncle.

We have the worst away record in the top 6 divisions of English Football.

It's a fact, it can't be disputed.

It's beyond shit.

Far to passive away from home and I have this horrible feeling that this is what will be the reason if we do indeed get relegated. I urge SC (if he reads this forum) to grasp the nettle and have a serious rethink on how he sets us up in away games. Lets have a slightly more attacking set up including a midfield ball player, just sick of constant win the ball and hack it up-field back to the opposition. The trouble is I just don't see an improvement in away performances, what do they do on the training field during the week? Why do the players just not perform away from home as a collective? Injuries this season do not help us but are they self inflicted due to training methodology and/or pre-match warm-ups as the majority seem to be muscular issues?

Away form is irrelevant if we continue to pick up points at home. We need 4 more wins to be safe and have Southampton, wolves, Everton, Brighton, Newcastle, Man U and Arsenal to play at the cg. Win 4 of those and we are good… away form can be addressed and improved on between now and the end of the season with us picking up at least 3 point on the road.

If we are going to be competitive in the prem it will need sorting but this season is about staying in the league. Win next week and we could be 7 points clear… lose and it’s going to be a rough ride. Our form at home will be what keeps us up this season… IF we can continue with it.

The problem with the “carry on picking up home wins” argument is that we still have to play 3 of the current top 5 at home.

He literally went attacking during this game and we conceded 4 at that point!

What Sniff says here.

Others have said its our home form which will keep us up. Why cant we have good away form too? Or just score the odd away goal perhaps as a start. We might've played till midnight yesterday and still not scored.

Wassey what you fail to miss yet again is that the set up after the substitution was still wrong and changed the wrong personal. Check out the number of Forest fans making the same point on all the alternative forums and Evening Post, I think you are in the minority on this!
