How about mentioning the vital blocks Worrall made as well? Yes he made a c**k up and he did do a couple of poor passes, but given the fact he was facing Foden, De Bruyner, Grealish, Silva and Haarland, the lad had a good game.
Maybe a bit of thought into who he was up against before slating him off for yesterdays performance
Be careful Tricky, FloridaRed will be along in a minute to accuse you of bullying.

I read the original comment slightly differently tbf in that Worrall was superb in most of what he did but had seen couple of moments that could have been costly. Couldn't believe Haaland didn't try to finish after Joe's mistake. Pep asked "Why would he go down?"...indeed Pep, from A block we were asking same question but came up with the answer- because he is a cheating b@$tard like the rest of your club.
Back to Joe, under real pressure he was superb. With time to think he had a couple of scary moments. When he cuts out the errors he's a top defender. Still relatively young for a centre back too.

Agree with Zico here. From the LB it was clear that Joe put his hand on his shoulder but it was not a pull. There was an element of arrogance from the Citeh fans, not something i thought i would see. Traditionally they do not have the same sense of entitlement that the red half of Manchester has.

Regardless of any disagreements over players, ages of players , transfer fees or anything else… we are a million miles away from where we were in august and from where we were when cooper took over.
EM, his team and cooper and his team have got us where we are now and not one of us would have predicted this when cooper first got the job.
We are looking like a premier league team and one that is not happy just to be here for a season. The next 2 games are huge but 4 wins between now and the end of the season should be enough. If the atmosphere at the cg continues as it was yesterday then we are at the start of something very special.
Filipe and shelvey are the missing pieces of the puzzle for this season.

Navas -8 would have been MOM but think he could have done better for the goal
Worral 7- first half patchy and if he does down holding his head for their first goal it gets chalked off. 2 poor passes first half and nearly done by the cheating Haaland but much better second half
Filipe- 9- a poor pass second half but overall big strong fast and bullied Haaland
Lodi- 7 good defensively again - worried about his injury
Aurier 7- see Lodi
Shelvy 6.5 passing radar slightly off but set the to e with crunching challenges and on 60 minutes a magnificent surge upfield - more to come
Danilo-6.5 worked tirelessly tracking on the left
Freuler- 7.5 so much work
Colback- 7.5 see freuler
MGW- not his best game but tried with scraps and great ball for goal
Brennan- 8- pep was shit scared of him all match
Ayew- won possession 3 times in his first 3 challenges - held and kept the ball more than Dennis would have
Wood- actually bullied the centre halves winning 4 big headers before his goal. More like it
Mangala- looked good and Better ironically when less players in midfield
Toffolo- did very well - does he ever let us down?
Williams- very good cameo

Worth adding that Wozza was on a yellow for 75 mins knowing a small mistake was disaster and he barely put a foot wrong, Haaland’s cheating not withstanding.
As for his passing, he was far from the only one. There were more passes in the move for the goal than the entire team had managed in the rest of the game put together until that point.

Worrall tries to find a killer pass from too deep. He needs to cuts those out to reduce his errors. He needs to be higher up the field to play those.

Exactly, at this moment in time still too many errors in his game, but the more he plays against top players he will learn and improve.

He needs a midfielder to release the ball to. He plays long when there's nothing on.
