I don't think Wood knows how to play as a split striker when we don't have the ball. Means Scarpa is having to come over to left and we lose one on the midfield 3 in the center of the pitch.
It's just not working. Was same against Leeds but they didn't score.

Ive got to agree , the Wood "experiment" just isn't working. Didn't want to say earlier as didn't want to be branded as using him as a 'scapegoat'
but this is his 3 rd start and has been anonymous in ALL of them.
Poor defensive header from Lodi the Willian turned him inside out.
MGW showing some good link up play with Johnson and Aurier getting forward when he can. Fillipe looks useful on the ball, quick feet and good range of passing. Referring to another thread regarding Freuler.....I don't really know.....

I think Fillipe has made a decent contribution so far. Worrall needs to do more serious passing training. His passes have been woeful again.

Grabban used to get loads of hammer on here for seemingly doing nothing, but Wood has been so much worse. I hope the purchase clause isnt reliant on us staying up as keeps being quoted.

We need Colback on to steady things in midfield. They're running the show. Scarpa's a spectator and Woods doing nowt. Just isnt working.

You can only pass to someone who's made themselves available to receive it. I really want him to succeed but he has been the invisible man so far.

So in his 3 starts when he has been anonymous all of our passing out of defence and passing in midfield has been shocking?

Wood has been no better or worse than anybody else. The whole team and first half performance was dire.

But it's ok lets blame it all on Wood if it makes you feel better. The bloke is feeding on less than scraps to put it politely.
