So how does the squad situation work now we've signed Chris Wood?
We were at 25 before January. Bade left and was replaced by Scarpa in the 25. Danilo is young enough not to count. Are we allowed to de-register, say, Biancone (as presumably he won't feature for the rest of the season) now so that Wood will be able to play straight away?
Also makes things interesting regarding other potential signings. If we were to sign another goalie then presumably Jordan Smith drops out. But after that it gets a bit more tricky. If we *do* still get another wide forward then we'd need to move someone else on, which I guess would be either Surridge or Dennis.
And if we were to sign another centre-back then we'd need to move on someone else. Toffolo maybe if Richards is close to fitness?
Interesting juggling act.

I dont know what our average age is now but it’s conceivable we could line up vs Leeds like this.
Navas 36
Lodi 24 Boly 31 Felipe 33 Aurier 30
Shelvey 30 Freuler 30 Scarpa 29
Lingard 30 Wood 31 Johnson 21
Average age 29.5
That is very old to say the least.

Well none of Navas, Felipe and Wood have signed to sit on the bench so some of those that have been regular til now will miss out.

If we get the 3 points and we stay in the PL where is the problem?
It's about the here and now, staying in the PL is everything.
Chances are Navas, Felipe and Lingard won't be here next season whatever happens so I have no problem with it at all.

What I am getting at is that whilst individually that line has a lot of quality, in the Premier League it won’t pick up 3 points, it will get run ragged by a quicker fitter team.
It’s exactly what happened in the Championship 2 years ago when the hierarchy decided we needed experienced players.

Last year we were bottom of the Championship.
We are now almost half way in the PL and have just had our first semi final for 30 years.
There is plenty to be positive about if you look hard enough.
