Bournemouth - Nottingham Forest

Whether you play Chelsea, Liverpool, W Ham or Bournemouth away it does not matter. You have to try your hardest to come away with at least a point. Yesterdays point was hard earned and deserved but it make me laugh when people see a certain team and say its an automatic 3 points. RUBBISH. Whether you like it or not every team is in the Premiership on merit and each team is a hard one to beat. We have seen what the gulf is between the Championship and Premiership and it looks like we have turned the corner and beginning to learn to live with the better class of opponent. The bones of it is we came away with a point which is a damn sight better than no points at all.

5 wins and 2 draws needed. Its a step closer to where we need to be. Some very tough fixtures coming up. We'll lose to teams we'd hope not to and beat a team we'd expect not to.

Yeah plus Bournemouth have repeatedly got the better of us over the last year or so, so suddenly beating them away would see a stretch! 

Plus, they're always going to have a home advantage playing in that shed of a ground.

I agree, a draw against Man city and Liverpool would be a great result but a draw against Bournemouth....Nah

I think a reality check is needed.

Haven't Bournemouth spent 6 of the last 8 years in the PL (I haven't checked that).

That should put them miles ahead of us who find ourselves in the PL for the first time in 23 years.

A point anywhere from home in the PL is a good point.

Bournmouth were on a run of 6 consecutive defeats and had lost 9 out of the last 10 Premier league games. Their league position doesn't lie, they are a poor team at the moment and on a downward trajectory.
Forest on the other hand were starting to show that the investments made over the summer were starting to pay off with the team coming together and climbing up the table. Some very good performances have been put in and I expected that this would be one of them based on how Bournmouth were performing at this time and I was disappointed that this wasn't one of them. Im pretty sure that Cooper, when traveling down to the South coast, wasn't rubbing his hands together and saying" ill settle for a point here"
We were 5 minutes from loosing that game and were lucky they didn't put 3 past us. Yes I will take that point but I , along with lots of others, given the above circumstances, were expecting more in terms of performance and as a previous poster mentioned I think this was a lost opportunity.

Correct it is and because Bournemouth were on a losing streak that gave us the right to beat them did it ??. That is completely wrong to say. Its true what they say when the Premiership is or one of the hardest leagues in the world and Bournemouth deserve to be there through merit. Like Sniffer said they've been there for alot of the last 8 years so this WAS NOT an easy game for anyone. There is NO easy games in this league so really you shouldn't put to much pressure on the team.

They lost to Man Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle, Brentford (away) in the run since the World Cup. Wouldn't have expected anything else although the home loss to Palace wasn't great.

On the plus side they'd have massively targeted this game all season so not winning it will be a real dagger.

All true but we want to stay up and that probably means taking points off your rivals near the bottom. Bournmouth have taken 4 off us this season which puts pressure on us take points where not expected. Yesterday was a big opportunity for us to put  substantial space between us and Bournmouth. Unfortunately we didn’t take it and let’s be fair we wouldn’t have deserved 3 points yesterday with the way the match went.

Bournemouth have some excellent player's as you would expect having spent most of the last 8 years in the PL.

Since Howe left though they seem to have f****d up with their managerial appointments.

Nowhere have I said that we had a right to beat them, I was talking about expectations based on performances at this moment in time.Please read my post again.
Is not the predictions league based on peoples expectations to some degree? if so look how many predicted a Forest win yesterday.

You're right you didn't that but when you say its about managing expectations it sounds an awful like we were expected to beat Bournemouth because of their performances and all I'm saying is in this league you can't expect to beat anyone and thats all.
