Yes he played in just 4 games during a loan spell but he won a Super Cup medal and scored a goal against Barcelona.

It was a header at the Trent End I was standing right behind the goal.

I also remember a Barcelona fan gave me a pennant before the game. I wish I still had it because it would probably be worth a few bob now but I have no idea where it is.

It's one of my biggest regrets that I didn't go to Barcelona for the second leg.

Went to the first leg,less than 24,000 to see the match. Get better crowd's now.

Amazing to think that when we beat Barcelona and won the Super Cup we were sponsored by Meridan which was a local knitwear factory if I am not mistaken.

Based on Haydn Road, New Basford Sniff. They had a cracking Sports and Social club and a very good football pitch.
