That is one of my favourite away days ever.

Moutinho, Podence and Costa all missed the game at Anfield due to injuries, adding to the four long-term absentees Lopetegui is already managing without. Podence picked up a problem in the Premier League game with Aston Villa last week, while Moutinho and Costa suffered knocks in the build-up to the Liverpool match.

Newcastle and Man Utd already through so if we can pull off a win tonight we will be among the big boys in the semi finals with Man City probably being the other team (expect them to beat Southampton).

Bit of a daunting prospect though to reach the final! All 3 of the afore mentioned sides have ripped us a new arse this season already!! (If City beat Southampton and we beat Wolves that is)

Obviously I want Forest to win tonight, but I don’t think it’s the end of the world if we don’t progress. Two extra games against City, United or Newcastle is not what we need right now. All about the league for me.

Who cares who we face I just want to be in a semi final again, it would be a real statement Forest are back.
Hoping for a win tonight, suspect if it happens it will be a narrow squeaky bum one!

I would like to think IF we made it through we have learnt enough to not get humped again. That said i still think going out might be a blessing as removes two extra games we have to squeeze in and more time for players to recover between games in our fight for survival.

Of course it can have the opposite effect of those 2 extra games, if we make the semi-finals with the "big boys" how much confidence will the players have that they belong in this company. It's all about how you think and approach the game, however watching Wolves the other day against Liverpool in the FA cup game they look very dangerous going forward so we have to be on our best to progress, COYR!

Yes, going out the FA cup may indeed have been a blessing but this is different, make a semi final and it should give confidence all round the club.
EFL cup is done and dusted by end of February, wont affect the business end of the season.
