No reasons given as yet, his statement is one of gratitude and appreciation (as standard) but this is very bizarre to me, we do not need any back room volatility right now, seemingly it never bodes well on the pitch.
Anybody with any more info as to the why?

The fact he doesn’t thank Steve Cooper or mention him at all sugggest sniffer is correct
I just think Cooper's made a power grab and Dane, along with his analytical approach, is an unfortunate casualty.
I know nothing about Dane to be honest but I suspect that if Cooper has wrestled back control of transfers (and as such negated the analytics expertise of Dane) then you're only left with a CEO who has very little experience of running a company with a turnover the size of Forest's.

Signings like Xande Silva, Drager, Laryea, Ely, Ojeda, Horvath immediately come to mind and there are others too. For some reason Dane also couldn't get the Flemming deal over the line. Then we factor in that huge f**k up with Spence when we could have had an option to buy fixed fee but for some reason decided against it. Also failing to land a sponsor and massive ticket office problems. I won't mention anything about Dane not wanting Cooper. I don't want to blame everything on Dane like some shouldn't pretend that he is the reason why we got promoted because he is not. Some middle ground would be good. I wish Dane well but I won't miss him and more importantly neither will Steve Cooper.

To say analytics doesnt work when it is used by pretty well every major club is plain wrong. It just didnt work for us in the way we (possibly naively) approached it and maybe we had the wrong people in place to deliver it.

Still think it is a mistake to completely abandon data and go back to agent based recommendations alone. It was pretty obvious we wouldn’t get it right first time when competing with bigger clubs who have been doing it for far longer.
Clearly mistakes were made but I would sooner gamble on a youngster like Aguilera or Ojeda than have another Arter situation with some washed up former PL player after a last payday. What has been pleasing this year is that the more senior player we have brought in have been very good and also seem to be on sensible contracts (maybe jury still out on Lingard! ).

Lingard only a one year deal so regardless it's not another Arter type situation. I think every club in the bottom half of the league would've taken that contract we got for Jesse too.
