I've gotta concede he was fantastic today.. I say that because I haven't been his biggest fan.

Deserved 3 points, but would have taken one before the game. Not sure why Colback came on ahead of O Brien, he let his man run off him twice in the 15 mins he was on.
Freuler covers so much ground and cuts off the passing avenues of the opposition.
Hopefully play the Sotton game with the same energy as the second half today.

Suprised at his passing stats but other then that he did well. Just got to keep the belief going away from home and we will be hard to beat.

For those who are still not convinced by Freuler (I have been convinced since day 1) go and ask Mason Mount for his thoughts!

Indeed Sniffer and exactly what I want to see from him, winning balls, getting in opponent’s faces and making some forward passes, all of which he did in the second half.

Passive seems to be the buzzword used by everyone about the first half yesterday and thats what Freuler has been all season for me. You can tell he always reads the game and blocks off space and thats great but he has to do more for us to dominate midfield. Him and Yates second half bossed it and it was great to see.

Freuler and Boly were both excellent yesterday. It was another great atmosphere at the City Ground yesterday. The last 12 months going to the City Ground has been a brilliant experience. Thank you Steve Cooper and his players.

In fairness his debut was up there with Bong debut as far as disastrous debuts go...credit to him for turning it round and looking OK now.

Yep. Having watched game twice, once from A block (no I didn't join in with idiotic chant) and then on TV, I am gobsmacked that people don't recognise how well he played across 90 minutes.

He is a proper midfielder who can do both sides of the game and works his nuts off too. He reads danger, makes good tackles (even if crap ref gave bizarre freekicks against him a few times) and he moves the ball quickly out of tight spaces keeping us in possession.

Outstanding off the ball 1st half, Outstanding on it for 2nd. What is it I'm missing after 2 viewings last night, please can someone enlighten me?

Is it because he doesn't do tricks or flicks or something?  Or maybe the one time he played it out of play down the line last night?

I'm flummoxed tbh.

Don’t talk daft, people were literally writing him off and he was nowhere near as bad as being made out.

I haven’t got the stats to disprove what you say and haven’t watched it back but notice that the BBC gave him a rating of 6.86. I’m assuming that this is a fact / stat based rating?

Only 0.01 better than Mangala and our 8th best rated player.

Outstanding, he was not.
