If I was in charge this would be my pick although I realise there is zero chance this will be our line up on Sunday.

Henderson
Aurier Worrall McKenna Williams
OBrien Yates Colback
Lingard
Surridge Awoniyi

Yes we would probably get beaten but I reckon that team at least lets the opposition know they have had to work to win the game.

Think we missed a tick not playing Colback on Tuesday.

Steve gets vilified if Colback is selected against Man Utd

Probably. But he can pass 5 yards sideways as well as Freuler. Mangala is just as likely to pick up a clumsy yellow.
At least Jack always puts a shift in.

Maybe after the Utd game it would be better received. Mangala hasn't really had a run of games to build confidence though so we don't really know how good he actually is. I think I'd stick with him personally.

Im being harsh on Mangala but would still pick OBrien above him, he has been consistently better for me. To be fair to Mangala he doesnt hide even when not playing well hence the yellow cards and he was one of the few at least trying to get forward vs ManU. But how many poor performances can we allow him to make.
Freuler honestly gets nowhere near my team.

Freuler for me is playing out of position - he was a number 8 for the Swiss and very good.
Our system, whilst working at home is not working away at all and a switch to 4231 would do us the World of good away at least.

I know he scored a goal at the WC but watched most of their games and still thought he was anonymous. He was definitely missing in action when Portugal put 6 past them.
I would sooner have Cafu.

Is there really much difference playing as a DM in a 4231 compared to a similar role in a 433? I would've expected the role in the 433 to require him to play further forward rather than the other way around?

I'm with you SM, I feel like we just keep talking like he's doing great because he plays regularly for his national side. However in reality he still just looks like he struggles with the pace of the Premier League. Which to his credit he has openly admitted in interviews (at least at the start). Players do take time to adjust to this league, I liked the type of player we signed but there must be acknowledgement that it was unlikely all the players would adapt quickly. Hence the reason Kouyate and Aurier have stood out IMO. Sadly, the same can't be said for Lingard and Boly.

We badly need someone else to step up apart from Yates and Aurier though. MGW was doing that just before the break however now he's injured. As Zicorice said, pray for a Brazilian miracle.

Cooper said on Tuesday that Gibbs-White would be out for a while but the timescale was inconclusive.

In his press conference yesterday he said we are pushing him and will give him every chance of being ready for Chelsea ?!
