It was in a perverse way. We had just celebrated Forest's equalizer right in front of us and being on a high had no thoughts about our personal danger and no-one else seemed to be in trouble...just a bit of smoldering and smoke to start with.

We were long gone before it looked like it is shown in the pic.

Great photo, if you zoom in you can almost feel the atmoshere in there, when I first went in the Trent End there weren't any fences, so you you could walk across the whole width, so many happy memories!

As a smallish teenager in the 60's I remember leaving the Trent End from the far end shown in the pic. It was a very tight squash and my feet never touched the ground until we got to the river towpath.

I was in the middle of the Trent End, you could feel the heat on your face.
Very vivid memory for me.

When you consider the consequences at Valley Parade, it makes you realise how lucky the club and its fans were that nobody got hurt
