We're the worst team in the league, getting something at Arsenal is pretty unlikely. Let's all chill, save the daggers for next week's loss!

F#(King NFL needs to F@(k off back to the USA where it belongs. Bad enough having to drive back having been spanked  but the traffic chaos it caused and fat f@(ks in their stupid shirts causing huge queues at services talking absolute sh1te about Offence and deeeefence.....that aside I'd probably take in a game....if I was on holiday in America-where it belongs.

NB. If any offence is caused.....Good. :giggle:

You'd best get used to it as it seems likely that they'll create a UK based franchise at some point! It's fine just avoid London on matchdays, not much risk of there being an NFL franchise in Nottingham anytime soon!  :giggle:

Kin hope not and a ridiculous concept.

Hard to avoid London when the bloody fixture list sends Forest to Arsenal though. But I get what you're saying.

Rugby in tights padding and a helmet...not for me.

Since then we have taken a credible five points from five games.

We now have an incredibly tough run of three home matches including the cup game against Spuds and I would be surprised if we get more than two points from those games.

Surely the purpose of retaining him post-Leicester was to give him a second pre-season during the World Cup break. From a personal perspective I don't buy into this "gelling 20 strangers" myth that's being perpetuated, results and performances breed confidence and understanding, it's as simple as that.

I am pretty sure that at the end of the season we will look back at the three matches against Bournemouth, Fulham and Leicester and realise how big an opportunity was missed in collecting 0 from 9.

Myth? It's based on simple statistics that most times teams have that much turnover they struggle. Particularly when the standard of player being brought in is at best around the same level as the teams around them.

We still have to play those three in the reverse fixtures- could end up winning all 3!

Credit to Steve and to EM for sticking with him during a very very tough period.

Things currently looking a lot better.

A tough start after the break with games against Man Utd and Chelsea but we have shown recently that we CAN compete in this league and we have everything to play for.

Credit where credit is due well done Steve.

I don't know how they pulled it off, with the contract etc but it was a masterstroke. Had a new manager style reaction from the players but without having to change manager. Maybe they were lucky that no top managers were interested but no harm in doing due diligence in case we could land someone massive.

More patience than some of our fans.

Absolutely. Cooper looks a changed man recently. Think he enjoyed that.
Yep big well done to EM for not taking the route that seems to be fashionable but rarely successful.

I am very happy for Steve Cooper to be our manager because I rate him and I like him but I can't believe that some people think that he should be or that he will be the next England manager if Southgate decides to go.

I don't think there's many people that think he should be, however his history with the U17s (of which a few are now key members of the team) and mainly the lack of alternatives that would be willing to take the job will at the very least put him in the running if he wanted it.

You've got to assume the best English managers currently eg Howe and Potter will not be interested at the moment. Cooper isn't English and perhaps they'll want to go down that route anyway. Which means Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney maybe? Not really sure if there's many other highly rated English managers out there. Otherwise they could go down the big name foreign manager in the unlikely event Poch or someone is interested. If not then next in line are the likes of Rodgers, Cooper.

So I doubt he'd want it/be wanted for it but I can definitely see how he'd be linked with it.

Hopefully Gareth stays on anyway, although I fear he's already made his mind up.

Lampard Gerrard or Rooney?
Good grief. I can hear the interviews now..
“Well Gary we are disappointed not to have qualified for the finals but we had a really tough qualifying group and its no disgrace to finish 4th behind Austria, Montenegro and Luxembourg.”

No chance of Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney or Cooper.

More chance of me getting the job.

Ok so you've ruled out most of the realistically available English managers.

If he leaves who is taking the job then? Lets assume Potter and Howe aren't interested.
