Amazing to think that five of them cost nothing in transfer fees and two others are on loan and one of the four remaining is Mckenna.

It does get you thinking a bit and that probably contributed towards the sacking of the recruitment team.

Lingard was technically free but we clearly paid him a hefty amount so not sure that quite counts. Lodi and Henderson probably cost us a chunk too of loan fee, then MGW/Freuler/Mangala weren't cheap (cheaper if you add in Kouyate!). Get your point though.

What are the big failures? Taiwo and lack of another striker. Dennis? Neco I guess although I think that's more Aurier has just done really well. Richards and Niakhate got injured, can't really put that on the recruitment team (well Richards can be on the medical team).

Neco the biggest disappointment for sure, you saw how important he was meant to be at the start of the season when he was on free kicks and corners, but hes been awful.

I know at Liverpool he was commuting from Wrexham, surely not still doing that to Nottingham.

Not all transfers work out and that applies to every club.

I can see why we bought him, he scored ten goals in a poor Watford team in the PL last season and he can play anywhere across  a front 3. I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Dennis is a waste of money on the basis that Johnson appears to be considered undroppable by the manager.

With 5 subs it’s a squad game and you need to have the ability to change all 3 forwards in a game

Except that Johnson is hardly ever subbed. Must be soul destroying for Dennis seeing an ineffective Johnson continually getting picked ahead of him.

Not sure about our best 11 but it sounds like we now know our worst 11 after yesterday.

This might change as the day goes on but as it stands what is our best 11 looking like? (Ignoring injuries including rumoured or actual)

Hendo
Aurier Boly Felipe (?) Lodi
Yates Freuler Shelvey (or Danilo/Mangala?)
Brennan MGW Taiwo (Wood atm)

So Felipe straight in on Sunday? I can't see Shelvey starting due to his fitness, presume he'll just be 30 mins sub appearances for the next few games minimum (if he's even ready for that)
