Anyone else think WH was unlucky to get red card? At the start of the move the Iranian striker was offside. Surely VAR should be looking at that?

Yes not sure quite about him being dismissed. There was a defender covering behind him so not a clear goal scoring opportunity and the contact was not dangerous. So which of the laws of the game has the ref used for the red card?

He caught him high with his knee and there was a covering defender but no covering keeper so pretty sure that would still be a goal scoring opportunity! I guess if the defender was going to win the ball was the only defence
How the hell does mount play with Foden not getting on.
Shaw, Stirling, mount and trippier were rubbish.

I just hope England turn up against Wales as the Welsh now have nothing to lose so will throw everything they've got at England.
England would be foolish to think that just because Wales are bottom of the group, they will be a walk over. I strongly suspect that was the mindset of some of the English players tonight against a very good American side.

Watching England was painful and so so dull. The world cup is supposed to be a festival of football from all the current best nations on the globe, why the slow negative approach by Southgate and the players, not good enough and will go out in the QF stage I predict.

You lot need to chill. Tournamant football is about getting better later on. The players have experience now of going deep into world cups and Euros.
